Yeah thats what I'm doing at the moment But what do I put when it asks for my business address? Since apparently buyers can see this, so obviously don't want to put my home address. Will they know if I make one up?

Best way available for you is to upgrade to a business account and when it comes to business address paypal doesn't care much so just specify the location or near by location to where you stay. There is no way paypals gonna check for business address.

No you misunderstand I don't want my real name out there because I am just wanting to be ultra safe. As I said before I have an unusual name, so would be very easy to find. Obviously not that people are going to be out to get me or anything, its just I know there are some fairly dodgy people out there.

So I am upgrading to a business account. But after making so much fuss about not wanting my real name to show, it would be very stupid to have my address there for everyone to see instead (because if you have a business account, they can see your business address).

This is probably me worrying needlessly, but after having internet safety drummed into me by my parent for the last 5 years, I am always very careful

tell him you use your daughter's account because paypal had your account limited because of a scammer.

Depending on where you live this should work anywhere in the US and it is perfectly legal.

Go to your local county court house and register a a business name for yourself such as "Any company name". You must regiter your company name as a DBA (Doing Business As). It will cost you $25, maybe $35. When you get your certificate for your DBA company from the county go to your local bank and open a checking account in the name of your DBA.

Now you can open an account with Paypal with your DBA. Have all paymnts sent from and received by the DBA. You should have no problems and your name will not appear anywhere.

If you are doing a legitimate business don't screw around with phony names and addresses. You can use your DBA forever.
