Hello everyone,

My Apple payments are currently showing as “Balance Carried”.

I launched my app in May 2026 and I received my first payment on July 2. Now I have over $2,000 expected around August 2, but today is July 8 and the status is already showing “Balance Carried”.

I haven’t received any email from Apple, no alert, and my refund rate was around 7% in June and is currently around 2% in July.

Has anyone ever had this issue before? Did it resolve by itself, or did Apple have to intervene?

dont panic yet, this is pretty standard for apple early in the month. since its only july 8th the august payout cycle hasn't actually started processing. they usually dump everything into balance carried until they finalize the fiscal month reports later on.

just double check your agreements and tax info in app store connect to make sure nothing is expired or pending action. if thats all green then it usually resolves itself around the 20th when they generate the actual invoices. had this happen on a couple of my apps last year and it always cleared up on its own.

its probably just the fiscal calendar quirk. apple doesn't use normal calendar months, their cycles are weird so early july showing balance carried for the next payout is pretty common.

but since your account is super new, keep an eye on it. sometimes if you go from zero to a couple grand quickly they do a silent review. as long as your tax info is active and you didn't get any sketchy emails from their compliance team, it should clear up when the next cycle actually processes around the third week of the month. i wouldn't sweat it yet.

Okay, thank you. I’ll keep you updated !

Hello, just to let you know, I can now see the payment date scheduled for July 30. Have a great day!
