How can I put a PC to work to generate money?

Well the Japanese government thinks robots can solve their elderly care problem. So they cant all be that expensive. But then again it is a rich nation in the general scheme of things.

If you use robots and AI to get rid of jobs how are companies going to make earnings when they killed their income source due to unemployment,products produced but nobody to buy them lol

This makes sense to you and me. But clearly not to big tech. They simply dont care. And never will. Its all about a few privileged elite people benefiting. Your just complaining about how the world works really. And also, your assuming AGI would even care about people? Or need people? NO, not AI. We already have that actual AGI!

Basically yes. There are many reports of them doing just that. Shilling ai (not thats its bad per se) and investing into not even stock. Actual gold and farms etc etc. At least thats what some people report...Now how true it is i have no idea.

A good first step would be putting your fingers on the keyboard… the PC is just the tool. The money usually comes from the ideas behind it, not from the machine itself.

I would not treat the PC itself as a passive income machine. With that hardware, the better angle is using it to support a service you actively sell.

Mining is usually a bad first choice unless your electricity is very cheap. Renting GPU can work, but you still need to calculate uptime, power, wear, and support time.

Practical options I would compare:

1. Local AI/render box for your own content or automation work
2. Video editing / batch rendering for client jobs
3. Local dev/test server for AI or scraping projects
4. Game/server hosting only if you can sell and support it
5. GPU rental only after checking net profit after power cost

The key question is not "can it run 24/7?" but "what service can I sell that this PC makes faster or cheaper?" If there is no customer or workflow attached, it usually becomes electricity cost with extra steps.

think even if you had a way to make money, you wouldn't need to ask. Instead, think about leveraging its value; if you no longer use it, you could rent it out or sell it and invest in something else. That would be more suitable.

You’ll find it very hard to make money with just a computer alone. Instead, put in the actual work and use the computer merely as a tool to generate income that will be far more effective, my friend.

GPU mining isn’t as profitable as it used to be. With an RTX 4070 SUPER, you might earn only a few cents to around $0.20–$0.50 per day depending on the coin, market conditions, and your electricity cost. In many cases, the electricity bill can easily cancel out most of the earnings.

The mining income may be close to that amount or even lower.

My opinion: Unless you have very cheap electricity or free power, I wouldn’t keep this PC running only for mining. It’s probably better to use the GPU for AI workloads, renting, or other projects where it can generate more value.
