Hi everyone, my Facebook account has been locked for 180 days due to community standards. How can I unlock it? I've tried many methods, until I received a message saying "Your account may be permanently locked"... This is the Facebook account I've used for over 10 years... I really want to appeal, does anyone have any suggestions? :(

no way to unlock it, just use real iphones next time to avoid bans
I use a real iPhone, and I often share posts from my company. Facebook reported me for serious violations of community standards. I tried everything... then I received a message that my account might be permanently banned... :(

You can contact Facebook support team by their official email. There is other way to chat with support them by meta verified account

I've tried everything... previously, due to my oversight, i hadn't verified my account, which is so sad... i still hope the account will be unlocked, i have so many memories there...

if you already got the "may be permanently locked" message your options are basically gone, that's their final warning stage

That really sucks. I have seen a lot of people recommend being patient with the appeal process because it can take a while.Hopefully someone who has recovered an account can share their experience.

If you've already received the "may be permanently locked" message, avoid submitting repeated appeals—they rarely help and can slow the review process. If the account is eligible, use the official appeal flow and provide any requested ID or verification. Otherwise, it may be best to prepare a backup account while waiting for Meta's final decision.

I was told there were ways to contact support, but they required an upfront fee, which was a sign of a scam, so i didn't do it.

Your account may have committed multiple violations, so it can no longer pass Meta's review. It is very difficult to recover the account in such cases; usually, you have to use a new one. I have encountered this situation myself, and there was no way to get my account back.

In my opinion, there's no way to appeal.

Just appeal it then. Your best bet is to go through the official process, provide any IDs, info, docs they might request and whatever else they need for verification. It won't be quick but older accounts with a long and mostly active history tend to get restored, especially if the restriction was a false-positive. This is assuming you haven't done the appeals yet. If you already have and that's the message you got, you're fresh out of luck. If FB made the final decision for a perma-ban, there's really nothing you can do at that point to get the account back.

Facebook is a problem lately; it blocks everything it considers an infringement, even unfairly. Every year they update their algorithms, and it gets worse

Honestly if it's tied to sharing company posts that got flagged, sometimes the issue is the page/business side not the personal profile. Have you tried appealing through Business Suite instead of the app appeal flow? Different queue and sometimes an actual human looks at it.

That said, once you're at "may be permanently locked" the odds are pretty low, i won't lie to you. Keep the appeal short, attach ID if they ask, and don't spam it multiple times a day... that just resets the review.

And yeah anyone asking for upfront fees to "talk to support" is a scam, you did right ignoring that.

I have someone that work inside of Facebook who can help you with your account but he charge for it

As everyone said, if it's possible appeal to reinstate your account through meta support. Don't believe in any easy way (that usually require paying anything to anyone) as this usually don't really work.

Be careful about talking to those that are telling you this. Of course its a scam. Face it, you broke the rules, you got banned. If you have tried the official route, and its not working then forget it. Facebook needs you more than you need them.

You can and should appeal via Facebook's support. The only ones who can help you are the Facebook's support.

you should stop clicking blindly on all the recovery links right now. Let the account sit for a few days so the system cools down and lifts some flags, then prepare a super sharp ID scan to re upload using a clean IP range that hasn't been blacklisted

The best way to go about it is by making use of the appeal process and meeting any demands for identity verification by Meta. However, even after receiving the "may be permanently locked" notification, the situation is not hopeless and an appeal should definitely be made.
