agree, i do notice the same thing that a lot of my videos keep getting search traffic weeks after posting, while fyp traffic usually peaks and fades much faster. feels like TikTok SEO is becoming more important now. I think tiktok search is becoming more important now. I still aim for the FYP, but I also optimize captions and keywords so videos can keep getting views over time.

The auto-suggest tip from @SignalMint is the one most people skip. Those suggestions tell you exactly what's already ranking and what people type, way better than guessing keywords yourself.

One thing i'd add... don't dump every keyword into one video. Pick one main search term per clip and build the whole thing around it, caption, audio, on screen text all matching. Spreading five keywords thin usually ranks you for none of them.

Fyp and search aren't really competing either, a video that does ok on fyp early tends to get indexed and picked up in search faster. So the initial push still matters, it just isnt the whole game anymore.
