hey all,
I have noticed that publishing content on wordpress does not seem to bring the same results it did before.
Even with decent keyword research and regular posting still traffic feels much slower.
Are you facing the same thing on your blogs or is there something that is working better right now?

Wordpres isn't the problem imo. It's just that competition is much higher, especially with so much AI content being published every day.

Good keyword research alone isn't enough anymore. Quality, authority, and distribution matter a lot more now.

I don't think it's a WordPress issue. Ranking has become more competitive overall. Good content still works but factors like search intent, content quality, site authority and user experience seem to matter more then before.

I think ranking is tougher these days not just on wordpress competition has increased and it seems like getting results now takes more time patience and consistency

You are not alone. I have seen that it is not enough to just publish on a regular basis. I would recommend to put more effort into updating old posts, improving topical coverage and focusing on content that actually answers user intent instead of just targeting keywords.

Exactly my point Google AI is taking all the results except for the keywords AI cant respond too and those are rear

Yes, many bloggers are experiencing slower traffic even with regular WordPress posting and keyword research. Google now favors authority, backlinks and content depth more than just frequent publishing.

WordPress not hard in indexing recent with optimize post content on web page to increase website traffics,it need research to derive value quotes about the niche content to get webpage index in serp/search engine result.

Yeah, wordpress ranking has definitely gotten harder lately. Google seems to favor bigger authority sites now, so focus more on quality and backlinks than just regular posting.

My newer WordPress sites are tracking much longer to pick up traffic compared to a year age. Are you seeing this across all niches or only on specific projects?

wordpress isn't the issue, it's just google making it way harder for small sites to rank lately, the old method of just posting and waiting for traffic is dead for most niches, you've got to build real authority and focus on getting links from sites that actually have people visiting them

That is not something you achieve via regular $1 public SMM services; the bursts created by bots will either be filtered out or will harm the retention metrics. The people who keep pushing the algoritm early are utilizing private and premium HR (High Retention) panel services with drip-feeds

The secret sauce is not just throwing bots; rather, you are purchasing views that watch the content for 70% to 110% duration of the video (or loops in case of Shorts), while simultaneously rceiving API shares and custom comment posts that will signal to the algorithm about great early velocity and user satisfaction.

I used to set up a wordpress site and post regularly, only to end up with zero visitors except myself. Wordpress is just a framework, google doesn't care what platform you use, so don't blame it. Traffic is slow nowadays because people are lazy to read and prefer short videos instead. If you want visitors, share your links to busy facebook groups to drag them in. Sitting around waiting for google to bring you traffic will take forever :weep:

it's not a wordpress problem. the problem now is that instead of blogs ranking, sites are getting de-ranked. most bloggers are facing this traffic drop problem right now.

Yeah I've noticed that too. Feels like it's taking more time to gain traction these days, even with regular posting.

I don't think its a wordpress issue, competition and contant quality standards have simply gone up. strong intent matching, topical depth, and internal linking seem to matter much more now than publishing frequency alone.

i do not think wordpress itself is harder to rank. the bigger issue is that competition has increased a lot. these days, publishing content alone is usually not enough. i have seen better results from focusing on topical authority, updating older content and building strong internal links instead of just adding more posts.

It’s not WP itself, it’s that the bar has been raised. Hand-typing posts and hoping for organic traffic is a slow grind now. What’s crushing it lately is Programmatic SEO. Instead of 10 manual posts, the big guys are using Python to scrape structured data and push thousands of hyper-niche pages directly through the WP API. You gotta automate the heavy lifting if you want to see a real ROI in 2026.

Wordpress is not the problem. Even now, the competition is among wordpress sites. The traffic drop people notice is not restricted to wordpress alone. Google is eating into organic traffic, blocking users on the search results page itself. Very few people are spilling into blog posts. Google will make sure that it'll block most of them and retain users on the AI overview, so that it can serve ads within AI overviews and make a lot more money.

Yeah that's true because there are more blogs nowadays therefore more competition.
