If you were getting 50k-100k views and suddenly everything is stuck at 100-1000, no need to panic. This is normal platform behavior (especially for IG), not some shadowban most of the time.
Not every video is meant to go into recommendations. Instagram constantly runs up/down cycles, this has always been part of distribution mechanics.
This is what to do:
1) Check account status
If there are no warnings, no content violations, no reach restrictions - then nothing is “broken” and there is no shadow-ban. People panic too fast here.
2) Just keep posting, even slightly more
Stopping uploads only makes the dip last longer. Platforms reward consistency more then emotional reactions.
3) Understand niche volatility
If you post text-based or idea-based videos, view drops happen more often. Each post gets tested on a different audience batch, so results fluctuate heavily.
4) Make content more repeatable and simple
The more one video feels like another, the easier it is for the algorithm to understand who to show it to. Over-complicating formats kills stability.
5) Don’t try to reinvent everything mid-drop
People usually start changing style, niche, pacing all at once. This confuses distribution signals even more.
In short: view drops are normal as IG keeps pushing out new tests and updates.
You have to keep on posting and stick with what works.
