search your niche keywords on reddit, then make a list of subreddits which you found there, then filter main subreddits.

One thing I do is search the pain point, not only the niche name. Like if niche is hosting, dont just search “hosting”, search “site slow”, “wordpress error”, “best vps”, etc. You’ll find smaller subs where buyers actually talk, not just broad communities full of marketers. Also check the last 10-20 posts before joining... if every post has 0 comments then its useless even if member count looks big.
