Hi everyone, I have a Facebook page with 2k followers that I build some years back when my posts were actually seen in people's feeds. Now when I post it seems nobody sees them.

How do I proceed? Is paid advertising the only way on facebook now? or can I still reach people via educational posts?

not really, if you just started posting again after a while, give it time to get back into followers feeds. Join groups as the page, and make comments and post with it, keep a regular schedule it should come back

Of course. Many people are able to attract customers without running ads by relying on organic engagement and reach.

actually, i see many posts get flop lately. Because that content is already familiar and very boring for your followers

You aren't doing anything wrong; you are just fighting a shift in Meta's business model. Facebook is fundamentally a pay-to-play ad network now. The algorithm aggressively suppresses standard text, image, or link posts from traditional Pages because they want you to pay for reach. Those 2k followers from years ago are essentially "cold" data to the current algorithm.

However, paid advertising is NOT the only way if you are willing to pivot your format. If you want to share "educational posts," you must transition them into Facebook Reels. Because Meta is in a battle for attention with TikTok, they are giving massive, free algorithmic reach to short-form video.

Be persistent in posting new content and completing Facebook's weekly tasks. If your content is good, Facebook will recommend your videos again; if it's copied content, Facebook will gradually restrict your posts.

Organic reach on facebook is definitely lower now, but it is not dead. educational or shareable content can still reach people if engagement starts early.

I see traditional post seems not too attractive to followers like before. besides consider running ads, you can try to transfer posts to reels.

Facebook's algorithm has changed a lot recently. I think you should research what content is currently popular in your area and try to write posts based on that type of content to direct viewers. You can invest a little in advertising to reach more people, which will make it easier for your fan page to be recommended by Facebook.
