Hi guys. I wanted to share a bizarre story about what happened to my account recently.
I post standard face-to-camera videos, and my account was doing great with very normal, healthy engagement. Recently, I bought a brand new phone to improve my video quality. I logged into my account, posted a new video, and almost immediately, the system seemed to flag me as a bot.
It’s been two weeks now, and my account is stuck in this really strange state that goes way beyond a normal shadowban.
First off, every new upload sits at absolutely zero reach for hours, and then barely crawls to a handful of views. But the weirdest part is the analytics desync. The backend numbers don't match my public profile at all. For example, a video will show around 100 views in my private analytics, but the public view counter on my page is permanently stuck at 14.
On top of that, TikTok actually restricted certain features. The "Add to Story" button is completely missing for any new uploads. However, if I go back to videos I posted before I switched phones, the button is still there and works perfectly fine. Ironically, the analytics still claim that the tiny trickle of views I get is coming from the FYP, even though the account feels completely locked down.
I'm pretty sure that logging into a new phone and maybe having both devices active at the exact same time triggered some kind of aggressive anti-spam filter that just won't let go.
Have any of you guys experienced this specific glitch where your analytics desync and features disappear just from upgrading your phone? I'm really curious if this is a known trap within the algorithm or if my account is just permanently broken at this point.
