#Business Operations Verification in Google Ads

Good afternoon! Today we want to discuss and share our solutions for passing one of the most common verifications in Google Ads: BOV (Business Operations Verification).

We utilize several methods to clear BOV.

In this article, we will break down the methods that actually work in practice and demonstrate a high pass rate across our setups.

In this article, we will cover:

  • A universal method for clearing BOV across all account types
  • Passing BOV on Individual accounts
  • Passing BOV on Organization accounts
  • Passing BOV on Agency accounts
1. The Universal Method for Passing BOV (For All Account Types)

This method is a proactive solution that currently yields the highest pass rate in our setups. All steps must be executed in advance, before the BOV is requested, ensuring the account is fully prepped when the check occurs.

‍ Steps:

  • Register a YouTube account using any email address you have full access to.
  • Upload any copyright-free video to the channel.
  • Launch an ad campaign to this video. Spending $2-3 of the ad budget is sufficient.
  • Once the spend is processed, you can proceed to clear the BOV.
If the account does not trigger the BOV automatically, we can trigger it manually using this form: https://support.google.com/adspolicy/contact/UAV_Harmonized_BOV_Form

How to fill out the form:

We stick to a standard narrative:

  • State that you are running ads to acquire new subscribers for your YouTube channel.
  • In the document upload section, attach a screenshot from your YouTube channel’s admin panel clearly showing the published video.
This method is highly straightforward to implement and shows an excellent pass rate.

Fill out all necessary fields standardly using any AI tool, double-checking the outputs to ensure they align perfectly with the chosen narrative: "We are running an ad campaign to increase the subscriber base on our YouTube channel and monetize it."

2. BOV on Personal Accounts

To pass BOV on personal accounts, we must feature the details of the individual whose identity was used for the initial verification directly on our white page. The full name (First and Last) is sufficient. Add this name as a "Business Partner" on any relevant section of your white page. Afterward, proceed to pass the BOV standardly using AI-generated responses.

Supporting Documents
We utilize:
  • An Invoice (billing for services rendered)
  • An agreement/contract between the company (your website) and the individual registered to the ad account.
The sole purpose of this document is to establish a clear link between the individual and the business entity.

If using an Invoice:
  • The sender must be the verified individual on the account.
  • The recipient must be the company (your website).
If you have properly prepped the site with all required criteria in advance, $2-3 in ad spend is enough to pass the BOV proactively.

If your site was unprepared and you get hit with a BOV retroactively, you can still make emergency edits to the site and attempt to pass it.

However, the probability of success drops significantly.

3. Passing BOV on Organization Accounts

For accounts registered to corporate entities, your website must display the exact company details associated with the ad account.

We pass the BOV acting as the Business Owner. Generally, for Tier-1 GEOs, corporate entity documents are matters of public record and easily accessible.

Documents used for verification:
  • Articles of Incorporation / Company registration documents
  • Documents identifying the business founders/directors
If you have properly prepped the site with all required criteria in advance, $2–3 in ad spend is enough to pass the BOV proactively.

If your site was unprepared and you get hit with a BOV retroactively, you can make edits to the site and attempt to pass.

Again, the probability of success decreases.

4. BOV on Agency Accounts

BOV on agency accounts is typically the easiest to clear.

The agency account provider (agency) must have a corporate website for the entity that owns the credit line.

You need to request the URL of this site. It will definitively contain the company’s legal information and contact details.

Simply copy this data, embed it into your own website, and use it to pass the BOV.

Documents

You can submit the exact same documentation used for standard business accounts:

  • Articles of Incorporation
  • Business founder documents
If you have properly prepped the site with all required criteria in advance, $2-$3 in ad spend is enough to pass the BOV proactively.

If your site was unprepared and you get hit with a BOV retroactively, you can make edits to the site and attempt to pass.

The probability of success decreases.

In this article, we have provided a general overview of the various methods for clearing BOV.

Within the next 2-4 days, we will publish a complete, step-by-step guide featuring a detailed breakdown of all 29 questions along with their corresponding answers.

Good info, thanks. I’ll give feedback once I try it, hope it helps, because these BOVs are really getting on my nerves:weep:

what's the typical pass rate you've seen with the universal method for clearing bov across all account types?

We’ve stopped using it recently because this method takes quite a bit of time. We were actively using it 2–3 months ago. Back then, the success rate was very good. It’s hard for me to give you the exact percentage from that time. But at the time, this was the only method we used on individual accounts, since we were completely satisfied with the success rate.

*We never had a 100% success rate. It was 70-80%.

Excellent information.

Lately, we also don't have a 100% approval rate for BOV verification, approximately 80-90%.

Hello! Nice to meet you. Oh, that's a great result. You're great!
