Claude is to OpenAI what Mac is to Windows

Don't touch Windows!

Mac behavior.

Beg to differ. Based on my experience Claude is much better for code-related tasks and GPT for general knowledge and writing.

as someone who uses both a windows pc and mac, both openai and anthropic models. i feel as if theres a little more nuance to it. they each have their uses, strengths and weaknesses. just like the two platforms mentioned.

I agree with this, but I'm hearing GPT 5.5 is amazing off an buddy of mine.

Yep, I've heard a lot of good things about Codex but frankly I am quite happy with Claude and don't intend on switching anytime soon.

Open AI is good for general tasks but Claude has higher limits and better responses for coding. With extensive testing, I've found that open AI is capable of going through entire database or documentation and solve problems while Claude easily gives up. One thing that surprised me is that despite having everything at their disposal, Gemini neither has the higher limits of Claude nor has the capabilities of open AI.

Pretty accurate IMO

Even pricing comparison is same, Claude a lot more expensive

The free version of Claude has recently been nerfed, right? Due to high rise in popularity and people wasting too many tokens? I am suddenly getting "blocked until 10 PM or upgrade" messages since a couple of days ago. Paid just seems too expensive for what it gives in return, already have enough subs such as Canva Pro etc.
