I suggest starting with Google AdSense it’s easy to get approved and works well for most beginner blogs.

From what I’ve seen, the main issue in 2026 is that most “good” ad networks are no longer beginner-friendly.
AdSense itself has become much stricter with content quality and traffic.
Media.net also has a tough approval process and usually expects solid Tier 1 traffic (US/UK) and strong content.
Monumetric typically needs at least 10k monthly pageviews and a good share of premium traffic, otherwise it’s hard to get in.
On the other side, networks like PropellerAds are easy to join and don’t require much traffic, but the trade-off is lower quality ads and generally lower long-term value.
So the reality is: for small blogs, it’s not really about choosing the “best network”, it’s about whether your traffic and content are strong enough to pass moderation in the first place.

Mediavine and Raptive are the best imo. But you won't get in as a beginner. Adsense is the best when you're just starting out. Never use low quality ad networks just to milk your visitors.

Thanks, solid list. Definitely worth checking those options, but yeah, a lot depends on traffic level and niche. For small blogs I’d still start simple and scale up later.
