X is rolling out more detection for automation & spam

Looks like X is really cracking down on unofficial bots, so probably best to just chill on any custom automation for a bit unless you're cool with your accounts getting suspended. Seriously, stick to the API or just wait it out

It is about time X finally cleans up all those annoying bots because the spam lately has been getting way out of hand. Just play it safe and stick to the official api if you do not want your account getting nuked for no reason

I got banned. Literally was using X without any automation whatsoever

The reason for that was probably I was very active in discussions, think 40-50 replies a day and the account was 2 weeks old

Thought I was posting normal content too but they banned me anyway

One thing I've noticed since probably yesterday - a lot of Premium (paid) replies are going into 'probably spam'.

You can try to recover the account; it occasionally works

we run x automation so far no issues, it seems it depends on fingerprinting mostly and executing different type of actions not only posting / liking / following...

we run without a browser

I doubt it will be to do with posting new tweets, it'll be more to do with auto-replying on accounts.

we ran some tests with that, some accounts seem to end up in spam and others hit the comment section, have not invested the time to find out why as of yet

I noticed some people replying to my tweets go into Spam - but are now not showing under Spam.

could be bot accounts / spam accounts that just spam api requests, a decent account replying should show up in your reply section

Just stop with the shady automation bots because X is not playing around with these bans anymore. It is definitely time to pivot to the official API if you actually care about keeping your accounts alive

Yeah that notice is serious. I logged into a clean account last week with just a basic script running. Did not even click anything. They still flagged the timing. I stopped everything. Now I just log in manually every few days. No scripts or bots. But if you need to run multiple accounts sight now, it's not safe. Best to wait

We still run 22k X accounts fine, there is still ways to bypass their detections.

I hope no issue with auto posting using x api, as long as post is authentic and does not hit api limit. If so I am good as before.

Thank you.

To be honest, my automation is still running smoothly; I can easily manage 15 accounts from the same IP address and haven’t experienced any drops in engagement.

This explains a LOT honestly.

People still think bans are only about obvious spam now, but X seems way deeper into behavior analysis, account linking and trust scoring than before. Even “safe” setups have been getting caught lately if patterns look automated.
A lot of people still underestimate how much of X enforcement is layered now. It’s not just simple “spam detection” anymore — there’s automated trust scoring, linkage analysis, behavioral reviews and then sometimes manual escalation/review on top of that.

Seen plenty of accounts look completely dead at first and still come back later after deeper reviews/escalations, especially when the original hit was more detection-related than actual malicious abuse.
