X is rolling out more detection for automation & spam

Not surprised tbh X has been getting way more aggressive with automation detection lately. Anyone running bots/spam is gonna get cooked unless they use real human-like behavior + aged accounts + proper posting patterns. Curious what signals they’re prioritizing now (device fingerprinting? rate limits? AI text detection?).
This is a big shift and honestly not surprising. Platforms have been moving in this direction for a while now. The problem is they always cast a wide net — legitimate use cases get caught up with the actual spam accounts. I’ve seen plenty of real accounts get flagged just for growing too fast or engaging too much, while actual bot farms run for months untouched.
The API recommendation is interesting but the API costs are prohibitive for most small creators and businesses. So basically they’re saying pay us or get suspended. Meanwhile the big players with budgets can automate all they want through official channels.
I think the real question is where they draw the line between ‘automation’ and tools that help real humans be more efficient. Scheduling tools, content suggestion tools, analytics dashboards — all of these technically ‘automate’ parts of the workflow. Are those next?

We run a Agentic AI bot farm for both IG and X. Definitely have seen a significant increase in X suspensions since yesterday, whereas before our suspension rate was virtually 0. We used to run them in anti-detect desktop browsers, but will likely migrate them over to our phone farm

And to imagine we used to get away with automation software a couple years ago. No the battle is hard; It's the same as going uphill, with a red pepper up your ass, meanwhile stepping on a trail of Lego .

Honestly, there's sooo much ai spam that I look forward to this. Nuke them all. The tech savy guys will keep their work anyway

The same, he is mentioning "agents" on in openclaw and such.
this is quite funny because I am never hold the faith towards Nikita because this guy isn’t even fixing the whole bot debacle, it would circle around Twitter/x bot around and around finding another loopholes. And trying to check to see if human users are actually scrolling is also funny too because developers can just find a loophole to mimick a person browsing (we have seen playwright scripts, or any kind of framework, etc).

Nothing new - each year security systems getting tighter and there are still a lot of people who generates traffic from these sources - definitely we'll get through it
