I have seen debates between going deep into one niche vs covering border topics to build authority. IN 2026, what works better? Should a blog focus on one micro niche or expand into related topics for topical authority. I am trying to build a long term site and do not want to limit growth early.

in case of building a website for the long run i would make it like a tree with a good trunk first followed by the branches that have some connection with each other. not necesarily do u have to remain microscopic always but expansion without covering all the core issues will only spoil ur site.
