Do Spammy Redirects Still Pass Link Juice?

Hey everyone, I am testing redirects from expired or spammy domains to money sites. Do these still pass link juice effectively, or has Google reduced their impact? Would love to hear if anyone is seeing real ranking improvements from this method lately.

Redirects still work if done correctly but it depends on the domain you ate redirecting from spammy ones hardly move the needle you need high quality backlink profile on the domain you are redirecting from to make a difference

301s still pass some value, but impact is much weaker now. Works only with clean, relevant domains otherwise google ignores it

Still works but way weaker now. Google passes some juice via 301, but spammy/unrelated domains get ignored or filtered. Best use is niche-relevant, clean expireds—otherwise treat them as tier support, not direct boosts.

It’s all about the "Link Echo." If the original domain was penalized or de-indexed before you bought it, a 301 redirect is just going to pass that "bad smell" to your money site. Google now prioritizes the quality of the referring domains over the raw number of redirects. Unless the expired domain has actual traffic and clean RD (referring domains), I’d skip it.
