Hey SEO experts,

how important are E-E-A-T signals (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) in modern White Hat SEO?

How can small or new websites effectively build these signals to compete with established sites?

E-E-A-T strongly impacts trust and rankings, especially in competitive niches. New sites can build it by publishing experience-based content, adding clear author profiles, earning mentions and backlinks from credible sites, and maintaining transparency (about, contact, policies). Consistent quality and real-world signals matter more than shortcuts.

The importance of the E-E-A-T factors in white-hat SEO is indirectly influenced as follows: if your content clearly demonstrates genuine experience, expertise, and trustworthiness, Google will rank it higher. Conversely, vague or unreliable content, even with good technical SEO, will struggle to reach the top. To effectively build these signals, write content with real-life experiences, practical examples, clear authorship, links to trustworthy websites to increase credibility and focus on only one main topic, avoiding writing about too many different areas.

EEAT is not something you 'add' to a page, it comes entirely from external sources. Linking out to trustworthy websites is the opposite of what you should be doing - you want the trustworthy websites to be linking to you.

Also, EEAT is not a ranking factor.
