All the factors you mentioned are important, but I think the content of your channel is equally crucial. You should create engaging and meaningful content and combine it with the elements you mentioned to achieve good growth.

thumbnails + first 15 seconds made the biggest difference by far. if people don’t click or they leave fast, youtube just stops pushing it.
seo helps people understand the video, but retention and click rate are what really move things in my opinion. i’d focus there first

Thanks, this makes a lot of sense, I think my biggest issue might be the first few seconds then.
Do you usually script your intro or just go straight into the content?

Honestly, most tools just provide rough estimates. VidIQ and Ahrefs are decent for volume trends, but for real accuracy, stick to the source.

Use YouTube's search bar autocomplete to find what people are actually typing right now. Also, check the Research tab in your YT Studio Analytics—that’s the only place with 100% accurate data based on real user behavior. Everything else is just a guess.
