I haven’t seen many people talking about this recently, so I wanted to ask and share something I’ve been noticing.

Lately, I’ve come across several websites mentioning that Spotify gift cards may be reduced or even removed from some digital stores around this year. I’m not sure how accurate this is, but there are already signs of changes happening in different markets.

From what I’ve found, gift cards are already being phased out or limited in certain regions, and their availability has been decreasing over time.
At the same time, Spotify has been moving more toward direct subscription payments and stricter validation systems.

Because of this, I’m wondering:

For people who rely heavily on gift cards as a payment method for farms what alternatives are you considering if availability keeps shrinking?
Do you think this shift will push everything toward card based subscriptions, or are there still reliable options that could replace gift cards long term?
How gonna adap to these changes.

I stopped using Gmail because some accounts were being closed. I'm not sure it's the best option for work.

Yeah, and it’s a slower process too. I’ll try different methods maybe find a disposable virtual card company that Spotify accepts those payments.

Nah, Thats will not work SP will nor provide gift to anyone no more. Investigate this LLC. Take your time find the pieces with that.

This will make it very difficult for new players to get started; every so often there are obstacles to reduce farming, and gift cards are now a thing of the past.

The USA is no longer useful because you have to be there, and besides, their pay rate is low compared to Nordic countries. I don't use those countries because they pay little.

Yes, but the option to germany and united kingdom are still available i think. According to what i learn, you only needed to use the IP from the country during the activation of the giftcard, after that you can connect from anywhere and the revenue rate will remain the same for that account isn't it?

It's getting harder and harder; the idea is to find solutions.

Definitely seeing that shift, it's a pain for anyone running multiple accounts or just trying to avoid direct payments. Seems like Spotify's just forcing everyone onto the card-based subscriptions, pretty standard big tech move. Other reason, many of them were carded so definitely spotify against it
