sometimes the system experiences temporary errors or overload. please wait a few minutes and try again. If the error persists, you can try the following: 1. log out and log back in, then try changing your password again. 2. try on a different device. 3. use the "Forgot password" function. 4. contact support for assistance as your account may be restricted.

If it's an old account and you're logging back in, it will take some time to complete the process.

Give it a couple of days and if it doesn't go off by itself contact facebook's support to resolve the problem.

Reloading the page doesn't seem to help; I've tried it several times but it didn't work.

Is this your important account? If yes, maybe hire somebody to take it back for you. Nobody will share their tutorials for free, or maybe they will if it's an easy one.
