What’s actually driving consistent YouTube growth—content quality or posting frequency?

I’ve been experimenting with YouTube and wanted to understand what matters more right now for growth and engagement; is it better to focus on fewer high-quality videos or stay consistent with frequent uploads, and how are you turning that into real revenue?

Frequent content did not give any results in my experience.
I think it is better to focus on quality and make somehow clickbait name - simply because even if the content is good, it rarely gains a lot of views

Both matter, but content quality is king. You can post frequently, but if the content isn't good, it won’t stick with viewers. Focus on making your videos valuable, engaging, and unique. Consistency helps, but quality keeps people coming back. For revenue, build a loyal audience first, then you can monetize through ads, sponsorships, or merch. Aim for a balance of good content and regular uploads.

I think a mix works best, but quality matters more in the long run since good videos keep getting views. In my experience, consistency helps you learn faster, but revenue comes once a few videos start performing well.

Right now it’s about quality + retention over pure consistency. One strong video that people actually watch till the end can outperform a lot of average uploads. Still, posting regularly helps — just don’t spam low-quality content.

SEO is important for getting views in the first place — good keywords, titles, and descriptions help your video rank in search and bring targeted traffic. But if people don’t watch, it drops fast. For revenue, ads are usually small. Most creators make real money from affiliates, services, or their own products — so the goal isn’t just views, but attracting the right audience that converts.

Try doing both. Have a stable good content quality and post consistently. Combine them to have better results.

In my view quality always trumps quantity because algorithms prioritize watch time and viewer retention rates. Therefore focus on creating excellent videos to drive traffic, then direct viewers to your SEO services to maximize revenue

Always, better quality works better.
I get that, quality does seem to matter more, but I’m also wondering how much consistency plays a role in keeping the growth steady over time?
