I've been thinking about this lately. AI tools have made content creation, keyword research, and optimization much faster. It's easier than ever to launch sites and publish at scale.

But at the same time, it feels like everyone is doing the same thing now. SERPs are more crowded, content quality is harder to differentiate, and standing out seems tougher than before.

Do you think AI has actually made SEO easier, or has it just increased competition? What's your experience been so far?

Yeah You are right bro i have noticed that myself as well, but you see that it have built up new opportunities as well, as Now ai is the new king. I strongly believe that Ai SEO, and getting your website recognized by seo is must and businesses are willing to pay alot for that service as well.

I am myself trying to learn ai SEO and how dose it work as this is an new feiled and very limited people currently know how it works and how could we get ranked by ai.

AI has definitely lowered the execution barrier, but that’s exactly why differentiation has become harder. When everyone can produce content faster, the advantage shifts from production speed to judgment — choosing the right topics, structuring them properly, and adding signals AI can’t fabricate easily.

So in a way, AI made publishing easier but strategic thinking more important. The bottleneck moved from output to positioning.

i use AI for Research and finding the opportunity to get rank , its increases efficiency

In My opinion -- Everyone, including webmaster, the designer, and the SEO Expert wants to do things easily.. Not everyone, but the majority of them would not spend a lot of Time thinking about case studies, publishing real-life experiences, properly structuring their website with a perfect silo structure, but instead they will mostly get a service page/landing page written by AI and instantly publish it.. This will surely save a lot of time, but still, a uniquely handwritten, correctly structured, meaningful content will win the SERPs !

You can publish 100s of AI-Generated, well structured Articles but those won't even get indexed easily, forget Rankings. As Google has become really smart, it knows which Website page is human-written, solving the user query and providing the right & meaningful information, and which one is purely built with the help of AI & just for "SEO Benefits."

According to me, AI definitely made SEO faster and easier to execute, but it also lowered the barrier, so now everyone is publishing at scale. The result is way more competition and a lot of similar content in SERPs.

It’s easier to start, but harder to stand out & actually win.

You all are right in different ways. AI has made SEO faster and easier, specially for research and content creation. But since everyone is using it, competition is much higher now. The real difference today is not who can publish more, but who can plan better and add real value. AI helps with speed, but strategy and smart thinking are what actually win.

In my experience, the ones who still win are the people who use AI as a helper, not a replacement Adding real insight, better structure, and clearer value. Speed is common now. Thinking still isn’t.

AI made SEO more efficient, but also more competitive. Anyone can produce optimized content quickly, so volume alone no longer works. What matters now is authority, real backlinks, topical depth, and brand trust. AI is a tool that helps to make the SEO work easier, but strategy, credibility, and strong link signals are what actually drive rankings today.

AI has made content generation and data processing/pattern finding a hell of a lot easier, but as far as actual SEO goes, not particularly. Competition doesn't seem to have grown massively, its just that all the markov-style page generators have just moved to AI.

AI has made execution easier, but ranking harder.

It’s now simple to produce content, do keyword clustering, and optimize at scale , which lowered the barrier to entry. But because everyone has access to the same tools, SERPs are saturated with similar-looking, AI-assisted content.

The real shift isn’t “AI vs no AI.” It’s who uses AI strategically , adding original insights, data, experience, brand signals, and strong distribution. In my experience, AI speeds up production, but differentiation and authority matter more than ever.

SEO didn’t get easier , it just became more competitive.

AI has made SEO faster and easy when it comes for content creation and research. It has lowered the manual but made it tough in 2026 as everyone is not using AI for SEO

It is definitely harder now because the barrier to entry is basically zero, sure creating content is fast but that just means the search results are flooded with average articles that all look the same,
Since everyone has the same magic button, you now have to work twice as hard on your brand and personality to stand out, basically the busy work is easier, but actually winning the top spot is a lot tougher.

I actually disagree that it’s tougher now. Most guys are just lazy and spamming raw output, which makes it way easier to stand out if you put in even 10% more effort than the rest. The volume is higher, yeah, but the average quality in the SERPs has tanked lately. If you use AI for the heavy lifting and then actually polish the final result, you’re basically playing on easy mode compared to five years ago.

AI has definitely made SEO faster and easier to execute — content creation, keyword clustering, and research take a fraction of the time now. The barrier to entry is lower than ever.

But because everyone has access to the same tools, competition has increased and SERPs are full of similar AI-assisted content. Publishing at scale isn’t enough anymore.

In my experience, AI is just a tool. The people who win are the ones who use it to speed up work — then add real insights, better structure, authority, backlinks, and brand signals. Execution got easier. Standing out got harder.

Ai can definitely help and speed up the whole process of setting up the seo and creating content i think is really good for general use but if you need an expert you still need an expert you can't replenish it with AI just

ai made seo easier to start

not easier to win

thats the difference

yeah u can pump 100 articles in a week now
keyword research takes minutes
onpage is automated

but guess what

everyone else is doing the same

so serp is full of mid ai content
google is nuking sites
traffic is unstable

ai lowered the barrier
it didnt lower the competition

actually it increased it

before most ppl were lazy
now even lazy ppl can publish at scale

real edge now is:
distribution
brand
unique data
real experience
links that arent garbage

if ur just doing generic ai blog posts
ur competing with 10k clones

ai is a tool
not a moat

seo didnt get easier
it just got faster and more brutal

the ppl who win now arent the ones who publish more
its the ones who build something others cant replicate in 2 prompts

I think AI has made execution easier, but differentiation harder.

Content production, keyword clustering, and on-page optimization — all of that is faster now. But because everyone has access to the same tools, the baseline quality has gone up, and the SERPs are more saturated than ever.

In my experience, AI helps with speed and scaling, but real results still come from strategy, unique insights, strong branding, and actual user value. The winners aren’t just using AI — they’re using it better and adding something original on top.

AI isn't giving people optimum site structure. It's not clustering their keywords properly for them, or siloing longtail pages under main category pages.

AI isn't preventing people from loading their sites with cannibalizing content, in fact its making it easier than ever to let them produce large volumes of content that often are cannibalizing.

AI isn't telling people the optimal way to link between pages, or the correct anchors to use linking between pages.

Someone who knows what they're doing will do really really well with generating sites with AI -- but if they lack the necessary onpage seo skills they'll still fail.
