Hello BHW members,

I’m looking for recommendations for reliable residential proxy providers that meet the following criteria:

REQUIREMENTS

No AWS routing – proxies must not pass through Amazon Web Services.
From my testing, banking and fintech platforms frequently block connections associated with AWS infrastructure.

Compatible with financial platforms – must work properly with:

  • Wise
  • Airwallex
  • Stripe
  • Payoneer
  • major banks and payment services
(no blocked pages or payment restrictions)

Location requirement – I specifically need IPs from:

  • United Kingdom
  • European Union countries
  • China
    NOT United States IPs.

Small starting package – I want to start around 1 GB, without committing to large 10+ GB plans.

Stability & reputation

  • uptime around 95%+
  • responsive support
  • clean IP reputation (not blacklisted)
  • proven reliability

Pricing – ideally below $5/GB.

WHAT I’VE ALREADY TESTED

  • Thordata – rejected by financial platforms (AWS detected via X-Amzn-Trace-Id headers)
  • Smartproxy / Decodo – banking sites intentionally restricted (confirmed in their FAQ)
  • typical cloud/datacenter proxies – all blocked by banks

QUESTIONS

  1. Has anyone successfully used residential proxies with Wise, Airwallex, Stripe, Payoneer, or traditional banks? Which providers actually worked?
  2. How can I technically verify that a proxy provider is NOT using AWS infrastructure?
  3. Are ISP proxies the only dependable solution for fintech usage, or can high-quality residential proxies also be sufficient?
  4. Which providers would you personally trust for financial-related operations?

So far DataImpulse has been performing reasonably well for me, but I’d like to compare alternatives before scaling.

Any real-world experience is highly appreciated.

Thanks!

as some sellers allow 1 day trials have you tried proxy sales

I’m actually not looking for random marketplace proxies or short trials...... already tested quite a few and most of them fail on fintech risk engines even if they pass basic IP checks.

I’m specifically trying to find providers that are proven to work long-term with platforms like Wise / Airwallex / Stripe etc. , where subnet history and network reputation matter more than just “residential” label.

So I’m mainly interested in real user experiences with banking/fintech compatibility rather than general proxy sales offers.

Most people here are mixing scraping proxies with identity proxies - banks care about network history + ASN reputation way more than "residential" tag.

If you're seeing X-Amzn-Trace-Id leaks then yeah that pool is sitting behind AWS edge somewhere which is instant risk flag for Wise + Stripe.

What’s worked for me on fintech stacks is either true ISP static ranges announced by local telecoms in UK/EU or dedicated mobile 4G where ASN matches a real carrier, not some reseller tunneling through cloud. Sticky resi rotating every 30-60 mins will kill session trust fast.

Under $5/GB for clean UK + China that survives risk engines long term is unrealistic tbh. At that point you're better off spinning your own mobile endpoints in target country or leasing single dedicated ISP IP per account and keeping it warm - no hopping, no cross login, consistent device fingerprint + timezone.

Fintech risk models track subnet history over months, not just current IP cleanliness.

for fintech platforms like wise and airwallex, the label "residential" alone doesn't cut it... what actually matters is the asn history and whether the subnet has been associated with fraud or commercial proxy infrastructure before. dedicated mobile 4g ips on real sim cards are honestly the cleanest option for this use case, they sit on carrier asns that fintech risk engines still treat as regular consumer traffic. under $5/gb for clean uk or china that holds long term is going to be very hard to find though

I completely agree with you, especially about ASN history and clean dedicated 4G mobile IPs on real SIM cards. That makes the most sense for this kind of fintech use case.

The problem is I just can’t seem to find a reliable provider offering truly clean, long-term stable IPs at a reasonable price. If you happen to have any recommendations, I’d really appreciate it.
