Why traffic harder during the day and easier after 7 pm

i promote to search enginges,
and today harder but very harder last night i can send mimes links (arround 1,000) 2 times in less than 6 hours

now after 7 hours noway hard hard so best is to promote by night ????

I noticed this too, with adsense and CPA I make 90% of my money after 6pm cst.

I've experienced this, too.

I believe it depends on the kind of offer you promote ( big ticket items, low ticket items, cpa, ppi,etc) and your target audience. Even though I've never done a poll or anything on this, I've always assumed high ticket items ( or "medium", in the $400-$500 range ) sell better at these hours because that's the time when people access the internet from home. With simple CPA offers, on the other hand, I've experienced much less variation, but there`s been a similar tendency, nonetheless. I guess the less "involved" the buyer is in the process, the least secure and comfortable he needs to be in orther to purchase. Free, impulse related items, seem to do better throught the day in my experience.

Days of the week, on the other hand, can be tricky. I've registered good sales on weekends for some products and none at all for others. On each case, however, the the good and bad days seem to remain the same for each individual product.

As saturday's are better then sundays cause people many times have the sundays for spending with their families, goes to church etc while they on saturday's wash the car, relax and surf the net.

Still... Some differences I have noticed (at least for my market) is that Sunday's is better for traveling niches. It might be cause people have had the Saturday to discuss their weekations with their families and then they want to make reservations before Monday since many aren't allowed to surf the net for private matters from their work. ...just in case anyone want to jump on to a travel niche

I always thought it paralleled the eBay trend (more traffic on weekends, due to more people with available time to check out closing auctions). Also (depending on the itemS), people might browse a site by day just to shop, but may wait to purchase until the evening when someone else gets home to approve the buying decision.

Yep. You'll get clicks throught the day, but sales mainly at night. At least, that's my experience.

Well, first of all, I'm not doing PPC right now. It's all organic and I'm not trying to get into local search or anything like that. Also, I probably can't be as accurate as you need for a PPC campaign with the time frame, since I don't need that kind of precission for SEO.

What I can tell you is this: I've been selling amongst other stuff some electronic products in the $300-$500 range using EPN for the past 4-5 months. I've recieved roughly 60%-80% of my traffic during the day, but
that represented at most 10% of the total sales volume. The rest came some time after 7 PM ET. I know this because in my country I'm a couple of hours ahead and that's my last check of the day, everyday. Sorry but I can't be more precise than that, since I'm not online at the time.

As I said before, days of the week can be rather tricky. Here's my experience, nonetheless, regarding conversions for this kind of products: Mondays usually suck big time for me.Tue-Thu are usually the best days. Fridays are a little low. Weekends have not been that good to me with this more expensive stuff, but I've noticed some sales for "related items" of lower value ( such as a case or bag for the device, etc ) particularly on Saturdays. Once again, I believe the best option you have with PPC is to invest a little time and/or money to know your stats first, and then go all the way.

Don't really know, mate. My guess is that people come during the day while at work, during lunch or whatever, see what they're interested in and either buy later from home or make a bid for an auction that generally ends later, or sth.

The thing with EPN ( I'm using shoppingads, actually, since I've been rejected from EPN twice) is that you're not really in the selling business. You're in the cookie delivering business ( not talking about cookie stuffing here, just getting people to click on your link ). What I try to do is deliver my cookie to the right people ( who are likely to buy not necessarily THAT product but several other products at Ebay ) at the right time ( in my opinion, it's enough that they don't feel bothered by following our link at the time ) using SEO, web 2.0 stuff. You never know what people might end up buying at marketplaces like Amazon or Ebay ( particularly since the last one has quite a long cookie ).

In any case, I believe you can bypass the site making deal by just using a free blog with some stripped minima kind of layout. I haven't done any adwords for a looong time, but I believe you'll be ok as long as you follow some basic rules - just check with someone who knows about this stuff .
