Do you have a target age or timeline for retirement?

That’s a strong goal. I don’t have a fixed age, just aiming for financial freedom early so work is optional. Retirement at 40 is impressive if the plan stays realistic and flexible.

Then you have a chance to full it by 40.
No i wont actually, will be doing something till am alive. I could have retired at 33 if i wanted or retiree now at this moment. But what i am trying to do is increase the lifestyle to push myself more. Without work there wasnt any purpose. Those 2 months i retired hahah. I quit drinking 12 years ago. Sober without a work will make me go crazy ;)

Honestly work keeps the brain fresh and i dont want to loose touch

That marvelous. Do you travel with family or solo?
me and wife travel around 4-6 months a year.

I am planning for retirement at 40.
I doubt you will like it.

I retired at 50 and was bored out of my mind... I could not imagine how bored I would be at 40.

Tried at 34. (Will be 37 this year)Could'nt sit without a purpose for more than 2 months. Hopped back in :D

But now i am more easy with myself. I travel 4-6 months in a year and i like this. Gives me some meaning.

This is how I want it too… just getting to a point where I can be more at ease with myself

It may look like retirement, but in reality it’s just living life with more ease.
Being able to understand what abundance really is and what enough means

Which is peaceful… I love being peaceful : )

I’m thinking more in terms of a transition rather than traditional retirement, shifting toward work I’m truly passionate about when the time is right.

I will retire by 40 for sure. But I won’t ever be idle, because stagnation leads to dullness and depression. Like a river, I will keep moving clear, focused, and alive. Definitely not like a pond that becomes muddy by standing still.

I don’t have fixed plans yet, but I do have strong ideas, especially about entering local politics. It keeps you active around the clock, connects you with new people, teaches you constantly, and gives you real chances to help those in need. By then, I won’t be driven by money. Serving people will be enough to satisfy my inner self.

And if I ever need income, I’ll always stay sharp in the internet market. It’s in my blood, and I should say it won’t fade until my last breath.

What do you plan to do after it ?

I don’t think I’ll ever “retire.” That word feels like working your whole life just to wait for weekends… and they disappear anyway. Too much pressure for no reason. I’m just enjoying what I do, traveling when I can, and not stressing over timeline. Going with the flow has worked pretty well so far. As long as I’m above the ground, I’ll keep doing this LoL

You have to be a millionaire in Finland to be able to retire. So I don't think I'll ever retire, no possible... Today the retirement age is 65, which will probably be raised to 66 and then 67 in coming years and then when I reach retirement age. It will probably be 69.

At most, if you want to live in retirement in Finland, you need to have €1,500 every month. That will give you a balanced life.
But of course it all depends on where you live. If you have your own house, there may be renovation costs. You can get sick and etc.
Rents are constantly rising for apartments. If you have a car, the maintenance costs are also constantly rising.
Maybe that €1500 isn't enough for some people..

Of course, some people have had a better life at work, so their pension can be 2000 - 4000€ per month.
That's pretty much a normal salary in Finland.
Sure, some people move abroad "Holiday destination places" to spend their retirement where the maintenance costs are lower. But usually these people come back to Finland when the healthcare costs are better and lower.

I plan to retire at the age of 55. I hope I can hold on until then.

That's too early to start a boring lifestyle.
