I have a website launched a few months ago, in the online tools niche, social media related.
I now have around 1k unique users/day, and using adsense to monetize. I used to have an RPM of around 2-2.5EUR, with around 70% tier-1 traffic.

In December I had a surge of traffic from some posts that went well on reddit and I got hit by IVT ( invalid traffic ) from adsense, which shut down my ads for 30 days. Now since the beginning of the month the traffic restriction was removed, but my RPM dropped to a measly $0.50-0.60, with mostly usa, Canada and EU traffic, and i am considering switching to a different ad network.

Anyone else running adsense that got hit by IVT? Does RPM recover after?
Any other good ad networks? I've looked into ezoic so far, but I've heard they slow the site speed down and UX takes a hit.

Thanks.

Good question It really depends on your niche + traffic quality. What’s your monthly pageviews, top GEOs (US/UK/IN etc.), and content type? Also are you looking for CPM display ads, native, or push/pop options?
~92k monthly pageviews total, around 45k from the US, rest is mixed tier-1 and tier-2.
Content is a web utility / tool-based platform.
Looking mainly for CPM display ads, possibly native, not push-pop.

Google AdSense is reliable and easy to start with, but if you want higher RPM try Mediavine or AdThrive once you hit traffic requirements.
I've signed up for both as I've been just over the minimum requirements, unfortunately they haven't accepted my application because of my site being a utility-tools site and not an actual blog.

It depends on your traffic type Ezoic and PropellerAds are great for varied traffic, while InfoLinks or Infolinks + native ads can add extra earnings without ruining UX.

Try mediahub, or adstera. Also read all reviews online about each adnetwork you want to use

Your traffic is mainly from social media?

Currently mostly yeah. Since niche is highly competitive in google serp. Around 5% is google search organic traffic

Traffic quality matters. Ezoic and PropellerAds suit diversified traffic, whereas Infolinks combined with native placements can increase earnings while keeping the site clean.

You can try Grow by mediavine
Ezoic will ruin your page speed Also they can also block your page due invalid traffic if traffic come from social media.

Have done quite a lot of volume with MediaVine. They are a lot more strict than they used to be though.

Google AdSense is still the best all‑around ad network to monetize a website easy to set up, trusted, and great for most niches and traffic levels.
Yeah those were my thoughts too, but having such low RPM is a bit demoralizing lol. I guess I'll wait a few more months before deciding to go with something else.
Ezoic is a top choice for monetizing sites AI optimization boosts revenue while keeping user experience smooth.
Yeah but they blast your side with ads if you are not careful and let their AI go wild on your site, from what I've heard.

MediaVine has delivered strong volume for me historically, though their requirements and enforcement are tighter than in the past.

For high-quality traffic, AdSense is the greatest option; however, depending on your topic, Ezoic, Media.net, or Adsterra are good substitutes.

after an adsense hit, your RPM might stay low for a while, so switching can help. for a social media/tools site with usa/eu traffic, media.net, propellerads, adsterra, and ezoic are solid options. media.net works well for keyword relevant content, propellerads and adsterra are easy to start with, and ezoic can boost RPM over time but may slow your site. many people test a couple of networks or mix in affiliates to maximize revenue without hurting UX.

Google AdSense is a solid, beginner-friendly option, but once you meet the traffic thresholds, networks like Mediavine or AdThrive usually deliver much higher RPMs.

Your RPM is low right now because google considers your account "high risk" after the ban, but it usually creeps back up if you keep your traffic steady for a few months.
since you are getting about 300k visitors a month you aren't quite big enough for the premium networks like mediavine yet. I would stick with adsense a bit longer to let the trust rebuild, or you could try ezoic, but you need to set it up carefully so it doesn't slow down your site.
