I have a 5 year old account and I can share photos or text without any issues. However, whenever I try to add a link to my post, it simply doesn't allow me to submit or the post gets blocked instantly. Are certain domains banned or is my account restricted from sharing links due to some filter? I would love to know if anyone else has dealt with this and how to fix it.

Yes, your account may be blocked or like kind of restricted. How many Karmas does it have?

I have very low karma, around 1500. I recently started being active again. Do you think the low karma is the reason why my link posts are being restricted?

It could be a reason, yes, but 1500 karmas is not what i'd call low. The problem might be elsewhere. You should try to use another acc

Yes Reddit can spam some domain which are include in promotion activities in previous time. Also Some communities does not allow link in posts or comments so whenever you will try the link in those reddit filters will remove your post or Automod will, So check the rules of the community before posting any link.

What is your non-link post count % compared to your link post account %.

If Reddit sees a significant amount of link posts, compared to your non-link posts, that could be an issue.

In addition to that, if you have posted the same URL too much, that is going to raise a red flag in their eyes.

With any social media, you have to stay under the radar and it may be one, or both, of those things.

Speaking from personal experience, even if it's the first time posting a domain hyperlink ; the barrier to entry for the comment appearing publicly raises signifcantly; and posts even more so. You need very strong accounts to do this (or an agreement with mods of subreddits to manually approve).

This usually depends more on the subreddit you're trying to post in than on your account. Some subreddits have stricter rules about posting links or they might have an automatic filter that blocks certain domains. You might want to check the subreddit’s posting guidelines or try reaching out to the mods for clarification.
