I have used seowriting but I am not happy on how SEO optimized the articles are, there's always too much similar fluff in every article

There are ways to get it for free. I heard that some offer is working now. I didn't try it though.

Go for it, I have been using it for last 2 years or so. It's best for bulk post generation. It is producing better single articles lately. It has am active facebook group.
Since it's been there for so long you will need to spend sometime to learn it.
