Account limits have been reduced.

This issue commonly occurs with some accounts, some accounts allow for gradual re-increase of the daily spending limit, while others cannot. Depending on your needs, you might consider switching to a different account. However, try fixing it first.

Daily limit has been suddenly reduced due to unusual or high risk trades in the account; please check with support.

I've found that this often happens when Facebook's risk assessment system reviews accounts. New activity patterns, changes in payment methods, or inconsistent spending can temporarily reduce the daily spending limit.

Many users are facing this issue. It may be caused by a Meta algorithm error or a restriction due to unusual activity. Please check the Real-Time System Status and contact Meta Support if no payment issues are found.

My account was working normally, then suddenly my daily trading limit was reduced to $50. Why did that happen?
Are you using a personal account or a BM account?

This usually occurs when there is an issue with the payment method, which can cause the system to temporarily lower or limit the account’s spending capacity.

Payment errors and exceeding credit card limits are bad signals that make Meta suspicious of your account. When unusual activity or campaign rule violations are detected, the algorithm will automatically restrict spending or lock the account to prevent risks. Ensure stable cash flow and adhere to policies to maintain the health of your ad account.

I encountered the same thing before. Sometimes, just paying $1 would increase the limit, and sometimes, spending for an extra day or two would increase it again.

Hard to say if that's the case for everyone or just a few accounts due to a variety of reasons (or if it got more sensitive for everyone). Likely it's Meta's risk assessment system or something determining the account's spend cap. Things could be fine one day then suddenly, at seemingly no fault of your own, the algo tightens the daily spend. Other times, it's due to reasons like performance, feedback quality, unstable spend, etc.

could be from unusual activity, rapid spending changes, sensitive niches, or a drop in account trust, especially on newer or lightly aged accounts, this is a new account i suppose?

The limit will go up again, don't worry, as long as you pay regularly.

This could be due to Facebook's algorithm detecting a risk. It appears through analysis of your advertising campaigns, or a payment error.

Daily spending limit drops usually happen due to unusual activity on the account, including:
  • Stopping spending for a period of time
  • Sudden increases or decreases in budget
  • Changing payment methods or payment related issues (like failed payments)
To fix it, you can try resuming spending and gradually increasing the budget over time. I think the daily spending limit will increase again that way.

Facebook uses a risk scoring system. When the risk score increases, they don't immediately lock the account, but reduce the limit first to "monitor" it. This might be due to a new account and checking spending history for any unusual activity.
If you maintain stable spending, Facebook will increase your limit again.

There are currently no limit sweeps, so you can check your ad account management profile. It might have been marked as spam or you might have accidentally violated Facebook's policies.
Continue using that account and paying bills on time to get your limit raised again

Once you reach a high threshold, if you don't use FB for too long, your score will drop.

This is due to unusual activity in your ad account or because you have made too many payment errors.
