My account was working normally, then suddenly my daily trading limit was reduced to $50. Why did that happen?

Was the previous payment failed? That could be one reason, or it could be due to Facebook's algorithm, but I think the limit will increase again as you spend and increase your budget.

Currently, many people are also experiencing this situation. Have you customized the campaign recently? There are 2 reasons: first, due to a Meta algorithm error; second, because your campaign is restricted due to unusual activity. Check the Real-time system status again to see if the payment has an error or is facing any issues. If not, contact Meta to report the problem.

Facebook is left-right restricting advertise accounts. Mainly due to lot of scammers

That’s Meta trust throttling - not random. Happens after risk signals like sudden spend changes, payment hiccups, new BM/assets, or policy-adjacent verticals - they cap you to limit exposure. Usually recovers if you run clean spend for a bit, but some accounts stay stuck if trust score is cooked.

Typically, the platform temporarily reduces daily trading limits when a risk signal (sudden volume/pattern change, new accounts, KYC/compliance issues) is detected—and gradually increases once stable behavior and verification are in place.

have you been using a new payment method or running ads in a different niche recently?
This usually happen after a payment fail or if the system detects unusual spending patterns, maybe you should contact support.

Typically this is due to risk flags, incomplete verification, unusual activity, or new/low trust scores; the system temporarily lowers the daily limit to reduce risk.

That sounds really frustrating, but it’s usually a risk / compliance trigger, not something you “did wrong” in one obvious step. A lot of platforms have automated systems that adjust limits based on signals like account age, verification level, activity patterns, and how “predictable” your usage looks.

You should switch to using a Business Account. Currently, Facebook no longer prioritizes personal accounts. Using a personal account can lead to many issues without clear reasons.

These are some examples of errors, such as non-payment and possibly payment method limits being exceeded.
Yeah, that’s a reasonable way to explain it. A lot of these “payment error / non-payment” messages come down to either (1) the charge failing at the bank/card level, or (2) Facebook placing a temporary limitation on the payment profile because something looks risky or inconsistent.

Meta may have detected unusual activity on your account, resulting in reduced daily spending, violating campaign rules, multiple failed payments, and many other factors.

this usually happens when facebook reassesses account risk, not because of spend volume alone. sudden limit reductions are often triggered by payment behavior, rapid scaling, policy-sensitive ads. you should review recent payment activity, ad rejections, and any unusual changes in spend or setup that might have caused the system to tighten limits

Did you experience any payment errors with your account?

This is a common problem, possibly due to inconsistent spending in your account or payment issues.

This sudden drop usually occurs because Facebook's automated security system has flagged a risk signal, such as a payment failure, a login from an unrecognized IP address, or a sudden change in your scaling patterns
