I learned a new lesson, and you should too... never throw away your junk mail!

Those annoying ads and magazines for your local towns promotions... they are full of hot leads! Those people are already spending money on promoting their businesses and you dont have to convince them!

Call them up or go in to their shop and sell them your promotional service. One mans junk is another mans treasure.

Great idea there. But there’s one crucial problem here. Alot of local small business don’t give a damn about online marketing let alone online presence. Sure they have a website, probably, but other than that you’re gonna encounter alot of no’s here. The mail is very much in your face and for local businesses this is a key element most of the time. Online feels abstract for them still.
You’re gonna have to convince them online marketing is also needed and how they can use it. Got this from first hand experience (another prospecting method but still).

Honestly, very good idea! Just beware of all the issues that can arise and don’t think of a one stop money maker. This is perfect to find prospects though if you don’t know where to start.

Bro, that is an Amazing idea, but you see that it would need alot of Sales skills & online Sales skills & in-store human interaction sales skills are both separate things in seprate world, But if someone is willing to do it its an amazing idea.

@Jason Starkey Or you can use N8N to fetch all spam mails from your account >> analyze what is it regarding with AI >> reply with how you can help them fix deliverability or advertise better >> promote your service
Good idea, I have not gotten into n8n yet, but it has been on my list for some time!
I think Jason is talking about physical junk mail and not email.
True!
@NulledCode Got it, sorry about that. I’m so deep in digital mode that my brain occasionally forgets about offline mail
Thanks for your valuable input! I like to hear all perspectives!

Thats true, but I just get out there anyway, and especially make the most of already existing interactions, I am posting a thread on this soon, it was a stepping stone to this. I have good sales closing abilities, so I found a model with a monthly subscription that will help me financially if I can just get a few more subscribers. Thanks for your info!

I learned some stuff from you on this, will post about it soon! You know your stuff as well!

All true, but I am doing it! I get wild sometimes with my closing tactics and psychological twists! Thanks for joining!

If they're spending on physical marketing, just sell them more physical marketing. Coupon mailing books and that kind of thing can work pretty well. A lot of small business owners want marketing that they see because that's what makes it feel like it's working to them. Start with a physical product offer and then move them into digital services.

Physical mailers in the US can be targeted by postal route now, so you can get really granular with the neighborhoods. If you pair that with geotargeted digital ad campaigns it can create that sense of being everywhere and increase the feeling of legitimacy.
