For the phone farm pros running physical phone farms with 10+ of the same device model. Are there any risks at all in not having varied models or is it way too broad for IG for example to make any linkages between the phones.

Say im running 10 samsung s22 (all have their sim) for gore theme pages

vs

10 varied samsung models (s22; a15; a16 etc..) also for gore theme pages

Obviously I know having varied is always better but does it really make a difference? Could they actually link the phones together if its 10 samsung s22's for example instead of 10 varied models?

I have both solutions working and no difference observed Only thing you need to be aware is to not link the accounts between them. If you link it and get banned, you need to reset the whole farm and re-do the process (without the previous linking factor, obviously)

if you have real device without root and using official application to run accounts it wont be problem.

Watch out if you use the same SIM card provider on each phone. You will have the same subnet on all phones

You can use the same models. Many people use the same phone models. That's not a problem.

Forums, YouTube, but mainly Chinese forums.... it was a struggle to get the rig and software running. I store all the phones (Mainboards) in a rig (rig also from china). For SIM cards, I’m using Lebara or similar providers, which cost me an average of $3.99 per month for 25 GB and a phone number (per Sim). I’m not using a VPN or any other methods, just real SIM cards.

I've tested this myself. Short answer: yes, identical models do get linked—especially if they're from the same batch running the same firmware.

IG's detection isn't naive. They grab way more than the model name: Android ID, SSID info, sensor calibration offsets, even GPU rendering fingerprints. Ten S22s all reporting identical sensor noise patterns? That's a glaring anomaly in itself.

Mixing models lowers the risk, but won't eliminate it—you're still sharing the same cell tower, the same usage patterns, sometimes the same IP. What actually worked for me long-term was switching to cloud phones that randomize hardware params per device + bind residential proxies. Basically makes every unit look like it lives in a different house. The difference is fundamental.

I used to run 2 boxes of Galaxy 8's and never faced the issue of chain-bans. The problem you are considering is not based on the device but rather on the appcloner and its ability to spoof and cloak.

phone model is not a problem at all so it does not matter if it is the same phone model the behavior and the matter you running the patterns is what matters
