Google just drew a hard line.

Has anyone found an AI-based content-writing approach that consistently works more than 95% of the time? I'm manually reviewing what's ranking for terms, trying to identify where positions 1-5 add unique value (i.e., the reason it ranks high) and replicate it, but in a better way. It's hit and miss.

For example, prompts I've created, such as those for Claude or Gemini content, look and sound way better than older AI content, but then I see that those pages are ranking randomly. At other times, the content I know was handwritten (I wrote it) has virtually no impressions, despite my feeling that the content should rank objectively based on the SERPs.

you just answered yourself. google does not care if content is AI written or by human. he cares only for backlinks and clicks, that is all metric that matters (CTR and noise). All those guides and recommendations how to rank and write, they are true only what? 50% at most....

John Mueller confirmed [insert any random Google narrative created with the intent to screw with SEO's heads and make it harder to reverse engineer and exploit Google's algos]

John Mueller confirmed that Google’s ranking systems reward content made for humans. Not content engineered for LLMs.
I dont believe in whatever the google advocate says. This is so much confusing to me.

You can optimize structure and clarity all day but if the page doesn’t help someone get what they need it won’t last. LLM friendly formatting might help AI find it but it won’t move you up in SERPs.
