I'm a programmer. Besides going to work in the morning, I want to build a website or a mobile app. With the current development of vibe coding, creating an application is not difficult, but I haven't come up with any ideas yet. Some simple ideas like a phone app to remind you to drink water, or a website to commemorate a date with your lover have already been made. Can you share some ideas? We don't need to be million dollar ideas, just A cool app with users

Build a simple app that solves one small daily problem for a specific group of people and focus on usefulness over hype.

If an idea is already taken, check and see how popular the apps are. If they are not very popular, there could be room for you to step in, make a better app with the same premise, and overtake the existing app with the superior quality and better promotion strategies. Just a thought. Good luck.

I’d look at boring operator pain: solo founders, agencies, sellers, devs running side projects - stuff like monitoring scripts, cost tracking for APIs/proxies, alerts when SaaS limits hit, simple internal dashboards they currently hack in Notion + Sheets. If you build something you personally need weekly + can ship in a weekend, you’re already ahead of 90 percent of “cool app” builders. Distribution > idea, so pick a niche you already hang around and build directly for them.
