How come if we add 12 to 40 the result is exactly is the double opposed to when we take absolute value of the difference of them.

I don't know what the "absolute value" means, but the difference of 12 and 40 is 28, not 26 which is the half of 12+40. So, your question doesn't have a correct answer (unless the absolute value is indeed 26)...

Fortunately, posts on Black Hat Lounge don't increase the number of posts on your profile. That's why I said that for your own good I hope that you're trying to be entertaining, because if you weren't being entertaining the other option was being spammer, which means you would get cautioned / banned quickly. 40 -12 is 28
52 / 2 = 26 (not 28)
28 x 2 = 56 (not 52)

I got the exact same results, which is why I said that - unless the "absolute value" means 26 - his question doesn't have a correct answer. But instead of enlightening us / telling us what the deal with this thread is, he got triggered that I said "I hope that - for your own good - you are trying to be entertaining". The difference (28) tells you how much larger 40 is than 12.
The sum (52) tells you the total size when you combine them.
