I’m working on SEO for a service-based website and wanted to get some input from others here who focus on white hat strategies. The goal is long-term organic growth, not quick wins. I’m mainly focusing on technical cleanup, on-page structure, and content aligned with search intent.

When working on service websites, which KPIs do you personally trust the most to judge whether SEO is moving in the right direction early on? Do you rely more on impression trends, page-level engagement, or lead quality signals?
Interested to hear how others here evaluate progress before rankings fully settle.

- Indexed pages stability in Search Console
- Growth in non-branded impressions
- Improvement in average position for mid-intent keywords
- Organic leads coming from service pages (not blog traffic)
