Hi. Nice forum.

I'm a software engineer. I got into affiliate marketing in the iGaming space recently. I was disappointed with the current state of platforms so I'm building an open source, MIT-licensed platform that anyone can self-host or modify for free.

Found BHW on recommendation from Grok. I checked out a few different websites and this was the best one.

I plan to meet people involved in affiliate marketing and developers to talk about software.

that is interesting! Are you making a platform to build online casino?

I won't be building an online casino myself - that is a tricky business to run. But I work in that space and I'm interested in making better software available to those who run casinos.

Is iGaming your a field you work in yourself?

The v-sports on there is neat. Do you find the affiliate management platforms for online casinos to be good or nah?

I've asked around and gotten mixed opinions. Some of them have tons of features but also they have many design flaws, especially with the way they ingest data.
I cannot give you an answer to this question; the affiliate network and tech dep are two separate departments.

You need to talk with someone from the product side as Product Managers, CPOs and CEOs of casinos, and I am sure they will answer your questions because they work on these platforms every day.

Amazing, thanks. I will look for this.

you need to visit iGaming conferences in the future. Can you platform accept crypto?
No crypto support yet but keen on adding this. Big crypto fan.

I think crypto casinos could be very popular in the future, and easy to promote
Absolutely. Uncensorable money and gambling go hand-in-hand. They are not allowed to operate in my country but crypto + a VPN is unstoppable.

Stake aslo from Autralia, is it popular there? Once I made a marketing research in AU geo and find out that crypto is very popular in Australia and also iGaming, casino and gambling is very poplar there, like a part of your culture. Is it true?

Not sure if Stake is really from Australia - it's a complicated story. They are banned from operating here but that doesn't stop people.

Yea exactly, it's part of the culture. Betting on horses and sports is huge. Once a year, everyone stops to watch the Melbourne Cup and most place a bet. Most betting is still via fiat afaik but crypto is growing.

I would like to see what an offline bookmaker looks like in Australia.

I've used one in-person at a horse race track. You use a tablet kiosk and it prints out a ticket, just like McDonalds.

There are also TAB betting shops all over Australia (see pic). They are dying out fast. Betting apps on mobile are just too good.

Actually, I'm still exploring different niches, so I wouldn't say it's my field just yet. I'm mostly here to learn about automation and traffic growth. But seeing a dev building open-source tools for such a competitive niche is pretty cool—looking forward to your updates:)

Will this be more something like an affiliate income back office or also a distribution hub for redirecting via landing pages?

If it's the former, can you make it configurable so cpa postbacks can be disabled and revenue can be manually...adjusted?

Welcome to BHW, mate. :) Nice to have you here. Building an open-source platform for iGaming affiliates is ambitious. I don't think I get the idea, but you’ll definitely find both marketers and devs here to exchange ideas with. Good luck. ;)

Welcome aboard. The gambling affiliate space is definitely due for some better tech, as most current platforms feel like they're from 2010. It’ll be interesting to see how the community reacts to an open-source project here. You should definitely check out the Gambling & Casino section to get some feedback from the pros.:)
Lol "from 2010" is generous. I would love feedback from pros. I didn't see a Gambling & Casino section anywhere - they should add one. Maybe I'll post in Affiliate Programs.

Thanks. Following you too. Seeing other devs build stuff is huge motivation.

Hello. It will have back office and redirects features. I would have thought those are the bare minimum but I guess some managers have a separate system for redirects.

It all data will be mutable. Existing platforms offer little flexibility in this area so this is something I want to do better.

Thank you. Sounds like I need to work on how I communicate my idea - which bit didn't make sense?

Marketers and devs are exactly who I want to hang around.

I warmly welcome you as a new user myself Your project sounds really great, I'm all for self hosted solutions. What tech stack do you use?

Nowadays it seems like the trend for gambling is to operate a prediction market platform ;) I reckon it's a new loophole for regulations
