Anyone Seeing High CPMs on Facebook Lately?

CPMs have been fluctuating quite a bit recently for many niches. It doesn’t always mean something is wrong - it can be due to seasonal shifts

Hello everyone, despite the fact that my targeting and creatives haven't changed much, I've observed that my CPMs have increased recently. Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just my niche? Any advice on how to lower it?
Rising CPMs are common usually due to seasonal demand, increased competition, or ad fatigue. To lower it, try refreshing creatives, narrowing/adjusting targeting, or testing new audiences.

When CPM is high you can try changing another page for your campaign

that s very normal during q4, especially these days of blackfridays offer and till the end of the year, advertisers are spending crazy nowdays, and nothing can fix it, unless u should use end of the year offers to get more conversions, may i know what u running ads for?

It’s normal to see CPM fluctuations lately - Facebook has been adjusting delivery and auction behavior in many niches.

CPM increase is not only your problem. Ads auction always fluctuates: sale season, many advertisers come in, market budget increases, CPM naturally increases.

I’ve noticed this too - CPMs have been rising even when targeting and creatives stay the same. It’s Q4, so competition is much higher across the board, which naturally drives costs up.

Social proof really helps: ads with more likes, comments, and engagement usually get lower CPMs because Meta trusts them more.

What helped me was warming up creatives slowly, rotating them, and boosting engagement - adding comment activity, photos in comments, likes, and even reposts. Small tweaks in targeting can also make a difference.

CPM increases recently are quite common, not just you. Usually due to seasonality, increased competition, algorithm changes or audience saturation. To reduce CPM, try expanding your target, refreshing your creative, retesting your campaign goals, increasing engagement, or duplicating your campaign to “reset” your distribution. If needed, I will look into your niche and setup details to give you more specific suggestions.

I’m not seeing this right now, but couldn’t this also be due to you not having refreshed your creatives much? I often see my CPMs rise when I continue to target the same niche and don’t refresh my creatives after a couple months. I also sometimes see sudden spikes in CPMs and CPAs as we get closer to thanksgiving and Christmas in the US. Sometimes when running Meta ads I see sudden spikes and I can’t find a reason why and my assumption is that meta made some sort of algorithm change.

Yes, recently my customers are also complaining about high CPM. Maybe Facebook's algorithm is changing. Try creating a new campaign exactly like the old campaign, maybe the results will be better.
This is exactly what I try each time I run into this issue and it often works if seasonality / competition isn’t the cause.

CPM increase is normal, the solution is fresh creative + fresh audience.

It depends on your country, we always have a CPM in the USA of about 9-10 dollars, you also need to be able to optimize advertising so that the CPM does not grow, you need fine knowledge

The recent surge in CPMs is common during competitive seasons, with changes in reach, results, and costs. However, you can still maintain stability with good optimization strategies. To reduce costs: test new creatives, broaden targeting, or run ads during less competitive hours.

At this time, I see that CPM has dropped by about half, but the conversion cost is still not cheaper. However, results can be more stable if you have a good optimization strategy. Try testing new ads, expanding your target audience, or running ads during less competitive hours to reduce costs more effectively.

Competition between advertisers is high, so CPM continue to rise even when nothing else changes. Refreshing ad copy or adjusting audience size often helps stabilize CPM.

CPMs usually spike when competition increases, even if your targeting stays the same.
It might be seasonal or niche-specific.
Try refreshing your creatives, expanding your audience slightly, or testing new placements small changes can help lower CPMs again.

What product is this ad for?
It's for a dropshipping device I've been testing recently. I want to know if this category is the only one experiencing an increase in CPMs, or if others in comparable categories are as well.
