Need some help — my homepage disappeared from Google for 2 months.

My website machinestable.com went live on September 3rd, and the homepage was indexed at first. But around early October, the homepage completely disappeared from Google and hasn’t reappeared for almost two months. Some inner pages still show up, but the homepage is missing.

There are no manual actions in Search Console, and I haven’t done any major changes to the site structure.

Does anyone know:

• Is it normal for a new site’s homepage to drop out like this?
• Should I resubmit the homepage URL for indexing?
• How long does it usually take for Google to bring it back?
• Anything I can do to speed up the recovery?

You need to review your content and images to check for duplicates or other issues, and then resubmit your XML sitemap in Google Search Console.

New sites fluctuate ("Google Sandbox"), but a 2-month disappearance often signals a quality assessment. Check GSC's URL Inspection for "Crawled - not indexed." Update homepage content, then Request Indexing.

This is a panalty, many sites have been punished like this. Solution for this is that you keep adding content to site and also make good backlinks.
