What do you all think about the news that Adobe is acquiring Semrush for $1.9B?

Good move or a disaster waiting to happen?

Adobe agreed to purchase Semrush at nearly double its recent stock price.

So I highly doubt good things come out from the future innovations pov.

But there will be a lot of cross selling. Adobe has a lot of enterprise level clients. More $ for everyone.

Yeah, that's true guys, seems expensive still doubtful !!!
disaster, of course. I never trusted Adobe (or any of the mega corporations most recently), so I don't see anything good coming out of this. But feel free to disprove my fears
Doubtful. Adobe usually makes things worse, but I'll keep a close eye on all the changes and hope for the best.
Why would Adobe want to do that, they are expensive anyways.

They already paid such high price. It is obvious that they will increase the subscription plans on semrush.

Many times such aquisitions result in disaster. Like, I have seen some online communities getting acquired and they get closed in few years. New management never has the passion to do things with same excitement.

Its a good deal in my POV combining Adobe’s creativity & analytics power with Semrush’s SEO insights could be a game changer for full funnel digital marketing. also prices could be boom

Ofcourse, its gonna be game changer moment in SEO era , where the battele between the digital corporates and the creaters.

I think it's a good move for Adobe, honestly. If they don’t mess with Semrush too much, it could be a game changer for marketers.

Honestly, could go either way. Adobe has a strong ecosystem, but acquisitions like this usually mean higher prices and more corporate bloat. But personally, I hope they don't remove that trial membership

If they could do remove trial option that also be the startegy of pushing us to make as paid subscribers without giving the chance !!!

Let see !

I think this is a very bad sign. Semrush will get worse because of this... It's an SEO tool with MANY subtleties. Adobe employees are unlikely to be familiar with the intricacies of SEO in this niche, and the product will ultimately be worse...

That is too much valuation for semrush. They will probably using the customer base data they have.
