Totally agree. AI is much more sensitive to technical issues than Google. Slow pages and messy, unstructured code make it hard for AI to understand content. For me, messy code is the biggest killer of AI visibility.​

The obvious answer is blocking LLM bots in robots.txt. But jokes aside, any site relying on more than HTML / CSS / JS for its front end without doing serious performance and rendering work is kinda cooked.

  2. Indiscriminate Crawler Blocking - Check your site´s robots.txt file. Also, Cloudflare now blocking AI crawlers by default for millions of websites.
  3. Poor "Chunkability" - Structure for RAG, make sure your site is optimized for this.

For me, poor website structure is a big problem if the content is not well organized AI may not understand it properly.

Add relevant schema markup like article, product, r FAQ to help search engines to understand your content better.
