Google Ads Threshold Issue — Why did it drop from €200 to €100?

I’m using a Google Ads threshold account, and I noticed something weird.

• 1st threshold: €10
• 2nd threshold: €50
• 3rd threshold (normally): should be €200
• But for me, it’s only €100

Does anyone know why Google would reduce the threshold instead of increasing it as usual?

I’ve been paying on time and didn’t have any policy violations. Could it be related to account reputation, billing verification, or something else?

100%, without a doubt. And there might be other factors no one might be aware of. Google has its own metrics. But yes, the country, billing info also matter

I’ve seen this happen too, Google sometimes lowers the threshold when it doesn’t fully trust the account yet.

Google Ads wants to minimize the churn & burn of accounts and this is why the incremental increase in billing thresholds, is nowadays not constant for all Google Ads accounts (which may be on postpay).
