Website page SEO

Hey Mark, full stack developer here, on-page SEO are the elements in your website, in simple terms, it is how you have made your website for search engines, to know what your website is about, off-page SEO, is if your website is mentioned in other reputable websites or blogs, getting mentioned even without links, backlinks, reviews from google business, searches of your website and many more.

Off-page SEO refers to actions taken outside of your own website in order to redirect potential customers to your website.

on-page’s ur house titles, meta, speed, structure. off-page’s ur rep links, mentions, signals. both gotta sync. clean base then push trust.

Thanks a ton for the clear and helpful answer. Respect!

What is the difference between on-page and off-page SEO?
i think on-page seo refers to the content itself, and off-page seo refers to code-related seo, such as having a proper sitemap.xml, tags on html, no errors on web console...

EDIT: just seen other people answered before me, plus their answers are more correct than mine. x)

On-page SEO focuses on the content of your website. This includes how many H1 headings you have, your meta title and description, the internal linking between pages, the keywords used in your content, and the overall word count, all of which help your webpage rank higher on search engines. Off-page SEO refers to the actions you take outside your website, such as listing your business on directories, posting on social media with links back to your site, and building backlinks that help search engines crawl and trust your website.

You should always start with On-Page SEO. There is no point in building high-quality backlinks (Off-Page) if your website is slow, confusing, or has poor content. A solid On-Page foundation makes your Off-Page efforts much more effective.

On-page SEO = optimizing things on your website (content, keywords, titles, internal links).
Off-page SEO = building trust outside your website (backlinks, mentions, authority).

An On-Page SEO strategy focuses on improving your website, Off-Page SEO strategy focuses on promoting it.

On-page SEO is everything you do on your website to help it rank better — like optimizing content, titles, headings, internal links, page speed, and user experience.

Off-page SEO is everything done outside your website to build trust and authority — mainly backlinks, brand mentions, and signals from other websites.

In short:
On-page SEO makes your site clear and useful,
Off-page SEO makes your site trusted and authoritative.
