if you attach a file to chatgpt, there is a maximum number of 15 messages that you can send, then it asks you to pay.
so you think ok, 15 is good enough, I will be done by then. except motherfucking sam altman has programmed it in a way that 15 messages is not enough.
when you upload a file, chatgpt keeps asking you stupid questions.
"do you want me to...?"
"are you sure?"
"do you want me to let you know when it's done?" (of course I want you to let me know, otherwise how the fuck would I know it's done?)
"do you want a zip file or excel file?" (what the fuck is the difference? I can unzip to get excel file.)

I believe they intentionally programmed chatgpt to ask these stupid questions to push you to paid plan.

even if I say "just do it, don't ask any more questions" it ignores my instructions and keeps asking stupid questions.

Because you don't like his business model does not make him a scam artist.

You are not entitled to use his product as you want, you are allowed to use it as he offers it though.

I'm not a fan of the guy, but there is no scam there.

Local models turned to be a better option! Invest in a good GPU with at least 16gb of vram, you want be disappointed!

Wait, isn't this what all subscription-based businesses use their free plans for - to try to convert you into a paying customer? Not a scam really, just regular business practice.

Of course, you could say OpenAI are liars as they were supposed to be an open source project and it's even in their name, but that's a different story.

> He lies and steals much more than that. He’s the scammer behind Worldcoin.

There might not be a scam "there" but internet has some interesting links to stories.

lmao i get the frustration bro, feels like the ai’s trolling u halfway through the task
but tbf most of that stuff’s prob just guardrails to stop ppl from breaking it by accident.
still, they def could’ve made it smoother what were u trying to do with the file exactly?

All those systems are here to get us addicted and then they will charge us/spam us with ads.

Mate, if you really like ChatGPT that much, just pay the 20 bucks.

I’ve been subscribed to their paid plan for a while because it was worth it, but I recently switched to something better. ChatGPT can be pretty dumb when it comes to complex coding and was draining my energy instead of helping me.

I still use it for basic stuff though, and that works fine for me without needing to upgrade.

I bet you move to claude.ai :) chatgpt is indeed bad for coding and not worth the money for this purpose.

The company has to make money to run their business, if not they won't be able to function.

wrong. this is a scam.
this is no different than a restaurant advertising "you get to eat for free in the first 15 minutes"
then when you get there, the waiter keeps asking you stupid questions for 15 minutes so you can't eat until the 15 minutes is up.

haha.. It doesn't listen - It prioritizes his commands by OpenAI and ignore our instructions easily.

even if I say "just do it, don't ask any more questions" it ignores my instructions and keeps asking stupid questions.
