What I learned after analyzing “How People Use ChatGPT” (2025)

Great insights, thanks for sharing.
I’ve been trying to understand one thing though... What actually makes ChatGPT surface a specific website when answering a user’s question?
How does that traffic get generated?
Are there known factors that influence whether ChatGPT pulls content from your site?
Because the traffic coming from ChatGPT references seems to convert really well..

Maybe Chatgpt prefer one websites that other... But why?

The biggest takeaway is likely the shift from basic content generation to advanced productivity and data structuring. Users who succeed in 2025 are using ChatGPT not just to write articles, but to perform complex tasks like analyzing enormous datasets, summarizing competitive research, or generating comprehensive schema markup in bulk. This moves AI from a content tool to a high-level technical co-pilot. The future is focusing on sophisticated prompt engineering to turn these tools into scalable enterprise solutions.

Thanks man, ChatGPT doesn’t “randomly prefer” sites.

When it’s in browse/search mode, it cites whatever is easiest to trust + easiest to quote. That usually means pages with a straight answer at the top, clean structure (H2s, bullets), comparison tables, real numbers in text, and decent trust signals (sources/refs, legit brand). If your page is a wall of fluff or messy UX, it won’t get picked.

If you want more GPT traffic i think we should build snippet-style “Answer Pages” + X vs Y comparisons, put the verdict first, add tables + sources, keep it fast/mobile-clean.

Thanks bro, i totally agreed. That’s exactly the shift: less “AI writes articles,” more using it as a productivity + data-structuring co-pilot to scale real outputs.
