Found a very weird ecom method from a sketchy ad on YouTube. Some help?

Okay so I stumble across these on YouTube every now and then. Some random B tier ad for some random drop ship product, but it'll have like 133k likes.


Then when you click on it it goes to one of the worst looking ecom landing pages ever.


The address on the bottom of the page is a storage unit in Wyoming, and if you google search the email address you find hundreds of similar 3-5 product crappy stores all with pretty much copy pasted foot header and other text.




When you go to the website linked to their email address, it's just a tracking site linked to an office in Hong Kong.



what I wanna know is:
what are these guys doing?
why the sites are so crappy?
how they are profitable making hundreds of them?
how do the ads have 140k likes each?

Are they using hacked ad accounts to make money off crappy dumb customers?

I've heard scam stories about merchants on Hong Kong using this kind of store to collect data and scam people, I don't think they are delivering anything at all.

Maybe it looks good on mobile. I don't do ads, but he probably target mature people who got money to spend and no knowledge about internet marketing (lol) He don't need to hide anything, just show a landing page and sell.

What he does obviously works for him, and about likes, that's like $10-20 idk exact prices, from SMM panels. Mature people obviously believe in likes. I gave my old family members latest smartphones like 5 years ago, and till this day, they have no clue what they're doing.

Actually, it does convert.

That ad has been up for a month or so and if it didn't convert, anyone with an IQ above that of a cucumber would have stopped it.

So they're just targeting senile boomers with money lmao. I bet it has some blackout MRR rebilling on it too. Only way to explain why theres so many sites. spread rebel risk across network

The landing page is embarrassing, even I know that as I'm 68 years old, and I'd never buy from them as it lacks credibility.

Their conversion rates would probably be better with even a WordPress site, and if you build sites this is an opportunity for you to pitch them and make some money and perhaps residuals.

I would if I had that skill set.

Maybe they are one of those sites that collect your money for a product and send you a letter for proof of purchase instead of the actual product.

I have zero use for that product but may purchase just to see what they are doing.

Don't get rebilled if you do, use a VCC.

The HK address links back to a UK LLC that links to a guy in Vietnam, maybe thats how they are getting payment processor accs? Using UK LLCs

I'll use one of my regular cards... I typically use only 3 for day to day stuff (one for my regular business, one for Amazon purchases, and the one that gets used and abused is one I have given my wife so she can buy shoes and clothes) but I have a few others that I can use and chargeback.

My banks know if I do a chargeback it's a legit request.

Are you familiar with blackhat MRR techniques? They could re-bill your card anytime and use a diff merchant name like"Netflix" etc so it's harder to find out. Just be careful and keep an eye out for stuff like that 30,60,and 90 days from now. Order#1742 damn they sold a lot

I am familiar with that.

I can also call my bank and say, "My card is compromised, please cancel it and send me a new one", should they try.

The card I used is not one of the main 3 I use, so that wouldn't be much of a deal.

And you're right, if the order number is tied to the amount of sales and accurate, they are selling something that they make for 3.88 and sell for 55.00 but let's see where this goes.

I have time to play, and I think this would be a good experiment for the community.
