I know I'm procrastinating when I'm doing PhD-level research on a topic with ChatGPT that I don’t even remotely care about.
What about you?

I walk into a room, forget why I went there, walk out, and then repeat the process three more times.
LOL, that happens to everyone! It’s not really procrastination, we just forget what we were supposed to do.
I'll tell you tomorrow
:anyway: (Maybe I will just react to it today, But I have to reply to this discussion tomorrow at all cost)

if you don't care then why are you doing it? I don't understand.

Sometimes we all procrastinate things by doing unnecessary stuffs bro. That's the whole point.

unnecessary stuff yes. but not something that you don't care about. so you mean someone would do research on life on mars when they cant care less about life on mars? I dont believe it. you are bullshitting.

I like to activly procrastinate on things, helps keep me focused on my major tasks and completing them better. I like to bulk things. ie. I have like 6 months worth of unopened paper bank statments to open and file. lol But its boring, and easy, and i don't need to urgently do it. So its activly procrastinated on, till the next time the power or the internet goes down, and i will instantly start organsiing my paperwork again, lol thats the best time for me.

Bro! not life on mars, I was once asking ChatGPT about what would happen if I add one electron to every atom in the universe? really makes no sense, but interesting than doing other boring stuffs irl

"everything for the last minute" :D:D:D

That sounds like a plan than procrastination. LoL

A clear sign you’re procrastinating? Spending more time planning the plan than actually doing the work. If you find yourself designing spreadsheets, setting perfect systems, or “just tweaking one more thing” instead of getting your hands dirty — that’s usually it.

Execution often trumps prep. You’ll learn more by doing than by perfecting the outline indefinitely.

I guess I'm a huge procrastinator then as I tend to weave and concoct a lot of plans and scenarios in my head, and daydream a lot... Probably that's why I never get things done :(

I've been using my brain instead of my hands.
While thinking is crucial for both life and work, if you don't put those thoughts into action, they'll slip away like the wind.

That's true! Most of the times I've been planning the plan than actually doing it.
