From my father's small CARGO business to building my own successful business!

Interesting journey, following.

What is your traffic source for your stores?
Thanks for the question and for following! Right now I mainly use paid Facebook and Instagram ads — they work best for my local market, especially since my target audience is slightly older.
Of course, it depends on the niche, audience, and platform. If I were building a brand for a younger audience, I’d definitely consider different channels and strategies. So I always try to adapt based on who I’m targeting.

I spent the first half of the month focusing on analysis — improving the website, creating better quality ad videos, and fine-tuning the overall system.
My plan now is to move slower but smarter. I don’t want to rush again — the goal is to scale the business steadily and strategically.

My biggest order so far!

Today I picked up the biggest order I’ve ever made — around 600 pieces.

It honestly feels unreal, because I still remember how it all started. My very first order was from AliExpress, just 8 products… and out of those 8, I ended up asking for a refund on 4 of them because they arrived late. I got the money back, so they turned out to be really cheap.

Since then, so much has changed. I’ve worked a lot, invested money, time, energy… and today I finally reached the point where I’m standing in front of a serious amount of stock I actually ordered myself. It’s hard to describe the feeling.

This whole thing started back in February 2024, and now we’re already in May 2025. Just look at how far it’s come. Maybe for someone else this isn’t anything special, but for me — it’s a big deal. I’m proud of myself.

And this is not the end. It’s just one more step forward. I’m excited for what’s ahead and I’m ready to push even harder. Truly grateful for this whole journey so far.

Update – August 2025

At the moment, things are still moving in the right direction with my e-commerce stores. I can now confidently call them stores – I currently run three online stores in my country, and I’m preparing to expand into two neighboring countries starting this October, once I’m back at university.

It’s been just under a year since I launched my first shop. Today, I run three, and I’m sitting on over $10,000 worth of inventory that I’m currently selling – and I fully believe I’ll sell out. Everything I’ve earned so far has been reinvested into stock. Full focus. No cashing out.

I also had some doubts about continuing my graphic design studies – so while I’m at it, here’s where I’m at. I passed all subjects from my first year, with just one left to finish. I got the opportunity from my university to start working on a startup based on my own idea, and this month I’m starting development together with mentors and professors.

This is one of the first real chances I’ve ever been given through the education system. Back in high school, I was a “problem kid” – bad grades, no direction. And today, even though I’m not even 20% focused on university, I’ve passed almost everything, built a stable business, and I’m working on something that’s fully mine. After one year, I can honestly say I’ve leveled up by over 1000% – in every way. And I’m not just talking about money. I’ve learned a lot – about myself, the market, pacing, when to push, and when to pause.
I’ll keep sharing updates as I go. For now – that’s where I’m at.

November 2025 – One Year Since I Started This Journey

It’s been exactly one year since I first shared my journey here on the forum. I had no idea where it would take me – but I’m still here, still building. Over this past year, I’ve processed and delivered more than 2,000 orders. For some, that might not be a lot. But for me, every single Shopify notification is a small win. A year ago, I was happy when I made 10 sales in two weeks. Now I can do 10 in six hours.

And yes – I’m still taking it slow. On purpose. Maybe I’m making a mistake by not speeding things up, but I don’t want to risk losing everything I’ve built. I care more about stability than hype.

There were a lot of ups and downs this year. It wasn’t a straight line upward – and that’s fine. For example, right now my business isn’t performing as well as I want it to. But I’m not quitting. When I look at what I’ve got in my warehouse – and it’s a lot – I know I’m not done. I’m testing new products, pushing forward, and I know it’ll pick back up. At the moment I run three online stores, and after four months of researching foreign markets, I’m finally ready – I’m about to launch internationally. At the same time, I’ve been working on a brand for the local market, which is now ready as well.

I don’t feel like I’ve “made it” or anything. But I do feel like I finally understand where I’m going. And this is just the beginning. More updates to come. Same focus. Same direction.

Awesome! Thanks for the update. Great work imo, impressive.

Appreciate it! Still just getting started. Next step is foreign markets – let’s see how it goes.

Update – December 2025 (End of the Year)

Honestly, I didn’t want to end 2025 like this – but I have to keep it real.

It’s been exactly one year since I started this journey, and even though there were some great moments, right now I’m not where I wanted to be.
I’ve fallen back to somewhere near the beginning. Poor money management, working with amounts I wasn’t ready for, a few wrong moves – and it hit me hard.

On top of that, the Andromeda ad update crushed my performance. Things just aren’t working like they used to. I’m not sure if my products are outdated, or if I got too comfortable... maybe both.

But I’m not complaining. This year isn’t ending with wins – it’s ending with lessons. Not the nice kind, but the ones I needed.

I’m still here. I’m still not giving up. I’ll try to get back to where I was – and go even further.
Not for anyone else. For myself.

This is the end of 2025. Not perfect. But real.

Awesome bro, keep it up, that really great you now trying to building your own business

Appreciate it bro, means a lot. It’s not easy, but we’ve got to build it ourselves if we want it to last. Let’s keep pushing.

I first started working in my father's small freight bussines when I was 9 years old
I noticed that children are normally more successful if they do the same business or profession of their father or grandfather did. Almost spiritual.

Yes, I believe there’s something powerful in continuing what runs in your bloodline. It doesn’t feel like you’re starting from scratch. It’s more like picking up a legacy and adding your own chapter to it.

If hitting the bottom where you started doesn’t motivate you to begin again from zero, remember this: when you’re at zero, you have nothing left to lose.

June 2026 Update

My last update was back in January and since then I haven't really posted much. To be honest, there wasn't much to post because most of my time was spent testing products, looking at numbers, making mistakes, and trying to find something that actually worked. A big part of the profit I made over the last few months went straight back into testing. Some products looked promising and failed, others didn't even get close. There were definitely more misses than hits, but I kept going. Looking back now, I think that was the right decision because I finally found a product that is performing really well. At the moment it's doing around 30x ROAS with a €1.68 CPP, and the screenshot above is from what is probably my best day so far — over 54,000 MKD in revenue in a single day. Not too long ago, that was the kind of number I was hoping to make in an entire month.

Now comes the interesting part. The product is seasonal, which means time is not exactly on my side, and because of that I've decided to take the biggest risk of this journey so far and invest a large part of what I have left into it. Honestly, I'm a little nervous, but if there was ever a moment to take a shot, I think this is it. The best way I can describe the last few months is this: imagine having a sniper with only 10 bullets. While it probably looked like I disappeared or took a break from the business, I was actually just looking for the right target. My biggest mistake in the past was shooting at everything I saw. Today I'm much more patient, and I feel like I finally understand when a target is worth taking a shot at. Will it work? I honestly have no idea. But for the first time in a long time, I don't feel like I'm making a decision based on luck or hope. I feel like I'm making it based on experience earned from every failed product, every bad decision, and every lesson from the last year. Whatever happens next, I'll share it here. Wish me luck.

August 2026 Update

It's August 1st, so I think it's time for another update.

The screenshot above shows my results from June and July. I honestly didn't expect things to turn out like this, especially after everything that happened.

After my last update, I decided to take the biggest risk so far. I finally found a winning product and wanted to import it directly from China. Everything looked perfect until I found out that because the product contains a lithium battery, customs wouldn't allow it to be shipped by air without special certifications. That completely killed my original plan. Shipping by sea would have taken months, and by then the opportunity could have been gone.

Instead of giving up, I started calling suppliers in neighboring countries. I managed to buy almost the entire stock that was available on the Balkans. There wasn't much inventory, but that turned out to be an advantage. Since nobody else had the product and importing it from China would take competitors 2-3 months by sea, I basically had no real competition. Because of that, I was able to sell it at a higher price without having to fight a price war.

Looking back, this is probably one of the best decisions I've made so far. Maybe this strategy can help someone else here one day. Sometimes the product itself isn't the biggest advantage. Sometimes it's simply getting access to it before everyone else.

The crazy part is that I achieved all of this with a relatively small ad spend. Good product selection and good creatives did most of the work. In the end, the product generated over 400,000 MKD in profit, and honestly I'm really proud of that.

Now it's time for the next chapter. Part of that profit will go into launching a completely new website, but this time I want to build an actual brand around a single product instead of just another general store. The rest will be invested back into this business, finding new winners and scaling what I already have.

One more thing that made me smile today... I'm currently sitting at 1,999 total orders. Just one more order until 2,000. My long-term goal is 10,000 orders, so this is only 20% of the journey, but every milestone matters.

And just to keep it real... not every day was profitable. There were days when I worked from morning until night and made almost nothing. Those days don't show up in screenshots like this, but they're the reason days like these eventually happen.

The journey continues. Let's see where the next update takes me.
