Protonmail email was shut down under investigation?

Has anyone of you been to Switzerland after getting such an email?
I've been to Germany(German police does cooperate with Swiss) months after receiving that notification from protonmail and it was all fine.

My investigation is most likely tied to an older protonmail which was connected to a gmail(which was/is under investigation of fbi, I kid you not, EU is obligated to inform you if a foreign entity is accessing your account).
I think it's because I posted my email on the AlphaBay darkweb site(this site was seized by fbi). I was selling nude fakes back then, but nothing under 18. I felt cocky as I was not planning or doing anything illegal by making fakes of adults.

For those who want an "secure" email, you can use cock.li.
You can register with TOR, and use it with tor. So just register with TOR, and always ever just use it with TOR so they'll never know your IP.

For the Protonmail thing, it's weird as some say they did almost nothing and just connected, it is maybe just they use TOR and got kind of "blacklisted" with a "wrong" messager(under investigation for criminal bla bla). Also when you check their https://proton.me/legal/transparency, in 2022 "Orders complied with: 5,957"

I've got 2 account with proton,and this morning,all 2 accounts have tha same message! "This account is under investigation for breach of the Swiss criminal code. Under Swiss law, in criminal cases, we may obliged to comply with law enforcement requests upon receiving a judicial order."
The strage thing is , that some minutes after i write and e mail to their abuse service,creating a totally new account( since i can't access to the blocked )...and the new account too,when i try to access, write me the same thing!!
Is it a joke?
I never do anything illegal; the only thing i did last days is to put some galleries of pics ( legal pics) on imgsrc.ru , that i've know after is a russian site many times under investigation for illegal activities.
What do you think?

I myself have a hundred or so just to use for signing up at places that ask for email verification etc.

One of my protonmail emails however was shut down. I don't know when. I hadn't logged into it for probably 1-2 years.
I got a message when I tried to login and I couldn't get a screenshot of it as it disappears after 2 seconds but I read something
like, "the account is under investigation from Swiss law .... blah blah blah".

It seems like wherever I used that protonmail got reported by people and protonmail took it upon themselves to shut it down

Now I don't know if this message is common or if they are seriously doing some kind of investigation on my email account.
Just wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen to your protonmail email too?

Any updates on this? I sent literally one e-mail and the next day it says:

This account is under investigation for breach of the Swiss criminal code. Under Swiss law, in criminal cases, we may be obliged to comply with law enforcement requests upon receiving a judicial order. If you are the account holder, you can reach us at [email protected] for more information

I registered another account to contact support and they immediately closed it with the same message.

Sounds like that address got caught up in something messy. Could be a site you used, it got raided or reported, and they traced accounts, Proton’s just covering themselves legally probs.

Sounds reasonably.
I saw something fishy on TOR regarding someone I thought I recognize and I wanted to check this.
So I emailed using my protonemail to that website contact....can the website have been flagged logged before and proton did this automatically?

10 hours later email account got that message.

So now im worried.

I also got this message recently I barely use proton I don't even have the email linked to any sites or forums but sometimes I will store pics on the drive of some OF leaked content which I know is wrong but hardly something I would expect to get this kind of reaction from "Swiss law"

Check their terms of service and see if there is a contact to reach. You'll have to contact their support about this.

1. Has anyone gotten the same message from protonmail AND gotten some sort of resolution?
2. It says "This account is under investiagtion..." Who is actually investigating it? And who initiated this investigation? Is it actual Swiss law enforcement? U.S. law enforcement? (I'm in the U.S.) Or is it protonmail themselves?

hey so I got this message back in April and I never heard back besides what I already posted which basically just says "you been banned", as for the rotting in prison I cant speak for what you or others been doing, but in my case I am convinced they content id-ed some porn and just banned the account out of precaution which fair enough. My guess is that it's just the standard message they send when banning an account, I doubt any actual law enforcements would waste resources/time searching random reported accounts unless it's related to actual tracible crime, especially since they would have to make some sort of legal request to get the data on the email decrypted.
